(not because it's an amazing pool hall, but that there is alot of history that has gone through here, and it really hasn't changed all that much in 40 years...and this is where I started shooting, lol)
What do you mean things haven't changed, they just got a new TV a few weeks ago.. ;)

Boston Billiards in Boston, MA or Nashua, NH IMO are must see viewing, just to see the trend setters in upscale poolhalls where you could still actually play pool.

Jillians in Boston is another, but don't bother trying to play pool there. It's a great place to watch an NBA game, however. Especially with its panoramic speaker system on the bowling alley level. Whatever Jillians you might have in your neck of the woods, it probably is nothing like the original in Boston's Fenway Park area.

Neither of these would be home to any legendary action play.

For real playing, Chelmford, MA Country Club USA and Providence, RI Snooker's would me my choices.

Country Club is great, when I was there last had a 3C table and tons of tables, and tons of space. Nice seating for watching, comfy benches, although I can't vouch for the table quality as I have not been there in years. Boston Billiards I'd disagree a bit. I would not call college kids driving daddy's money BMWs a must see crowd. Although next to Brighton Billiards, it was the only place in the area to match up for cash or just playing with people over D level. Also great for some fun watching of pre and post Sox games Fenway crowds. I remember some half-drunk guy insisting we play for money even though I kept trying to tell him I was just shooting around. He lost $40 in 2 games and I bet he did not remember what happend by the time he got to his seats. Rodney Morris also made Boston Billiards a stop on his road days, at least once that I know of.

The only must-see hall in the area unfortunatly is gone, Brighton Billiards. Best tables in town, and always a match waiting for anyone willing. Plus any room where you have to go bellow street level, no windows, smoke filled and only 8 tables is a instant classic. You could have watched some money chess matches too in the waiting area overseeing the tables. Wait time was over an hour at times, but people stayed.

If anyone heads to MA or RI, send me a PM, I'd like to meet some people from online again, last time was about 10 years ago from the RSB NY tourney.

It certainly would be quite the deal to get us all together sometime. We'll have to start thinking about where. Perhaps this spring. I'd love to do New London, but Providence is probably more central. Perhaps the Joss event at Snookers this spring.

I've noticed Bogies Billiards is already on the list, but here's a couple more. If ya want action in Bogies, ask for Billy Sharp or Gus aka "Little Hand". There's ALWAYS action in there though.

Legends Billiards
League City, Tx
(Home of the Houston Open) Jeremy Jones & Charlie Bryant's usual spot...

Paradise Billiards
Corpus Christi

A good place to stop if your in Orange County New York is Gallery Billiards, its off the Thruway in Newburgh. Its not a big room but the equipment is great and there are some good players there,Earl Herring plays out of there and so does Morgan Steinman who is in the WPBA.Dave Pinkston the owner also plays very well and is a great guy with his wife Ruthie they run a great place. Its not a bad place for action either, alot of guys who play solid and some that dont that will still bet it up some. :)

Williebetmore mentioned it and it deserves saying again: THE BILLIARDS BULLPEN in CollinsvilleIl.

It's Mark Wilson's cozy little room where you'll get a game and some fantastic personal attention from maybe the best instructor in the country.

Kolby's in Tempe AZ.

A couple that belong on this list in SoCal include Danny K's in Orange, CA. Beautiful room, good food, nice tables, some good players, and regular added money events. Say hi to Danny when you're there.

The House of Billiards in Santa Monica. One of the oldest rooms around, from the 60's. If you like One Pocket, you will get played. Wayne from AZ is a regular, or you can ask for Phil. He plays good too. Watch out for the little guy who looks like Parica (it's him!).

My local room is Mr. Lucky's in Torrance. First home for the legendary Richie Florence many moons ago. Small room with a few triple tough Gold Crowns by Ernesto. And you just might find a game in there too.

A couple more worthy of mention are Shooters, the players room in the Inland Empire. It's in Riverside. And Stix in Rancho Cucamonga. Owned by Alex, a local filipino legend, you can definitely get in action there. It's a nice big new room.

Q-Masters in Virginia Beach, VA usually has plenty going on. I know the tournament room usually has a few money games going at any given time.

Q-Master Billiards
5612-A Princess Anne Rd.
Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462

If you're stopping by Bellingham, WA there's also a nice place there called Kendrick's Billiards. No action to speak of (they are a "family friendly" pool hall) but great food and world-class coffee. Recently added a small list of microbrews and wines I believe.

1320 Cornwall Ave.
Bellingham, WA 98225

Thanks for all the inputs!!

What do you recommend, going from South East to South West, Northeast to Southeast etc.... ??
