robin dreyer in beaverton oregon is the best instructor in the USA.... 503-848-0422
imho
i have takes 3 lessons with scott lee......a 3 day lesson with mark wilson
and i do want to say they did help me with my fundamentals
BUT
neither one could fix my tendency to unintentional right hand spin
i was convinced it was my vision center
i am right handed and left eye dominant
BUT IT TOOK ROBIN TO FIND THE PROBLEM AND CORRECT IT...:thumbup::smile::smile::smile::smile::smile::smile::smile::smile:
he was an upper level pro when he played but has devoted the last 30 years to teaching
his methodology to position play and kicking i have never read in a book or the instructors above ever mentioned
IF YOU WANT TO IMPROVE YOUR GAME GIVE ROBIN A CALL
i have never hit the ball cleaner than i am now...

wait, 2 weeks ago you just didn't have it, now, well,,,,,,,, quite a statement Larry

i really was frustrated with me missing balls due to my unintentional spin
ROBIN FIXED IT
i am like a kid with a new toy...:)
pure stroke and a bigger stroke
i need to relearn how to aim alittle since i am not getting the squirt/swerve i used to
but that shouldnt take long to readjust
I AM HAPPY NOW WITH MY GAME
:)
thank you robin
p.s. you can call me about it if you want
not tonight i am going to bed soon...:o

If I would have news this good I would have made a morning post. JK Congrats on finding a problem and finding pleasure from the game again!

Tell us how you did fix it. That will help a lot of players.

I think the important things we will hear from bbb in the coming days is how he finally found a pool teacher that understands cause and effect and can get the student to feel his mistake. Feeling it is the first thing to fixing it. In the NW, we have an amazing teacher that has remained unknown until now. Larry and I will do our best to share this secret over the coming months. Robin will be coming out with his book AFTER he stops teaching, but until then it's difficult to become known in the pool world. Touring pros will be coming to Portland the end of June for a tournament at Sam's and I invite them to take a little diversion to Robin Dreyer to fix anything that's bugging them or a tune up. His breaking strategy for all the games is easily worth their time. He has a 7' and 9' table at this house so he can teach in absolute one on one privacy. AND to any top pros; if you are not completely happy after taking a lesson with Robin, I will pay the bill. PM me for contact information.

Exactly! Robin Dreyer has been a secret for too long. A few more very satisfied students like bbb and myself will help to get the recognition he deserves. And, if we could get a top touring pro to stop in and tell the public about his experience. He's working on a device that every serious pool player will want to own. The prototype is absolutely amazing but I can't say any more.

I see. We will never find out the ultimate secret then. I thought I was on track

Portland, Oregon contains the "ultimate secret". Are you willing to travel? Or were you hoping for something free?

for the record i am NOT in collusion with denwhit
i did learn about robin from his (denwhit) posts about him
we got in contact with each other and had lunch together when i was in oregon
he is a great guy and passionate about pool and robin

since my problem was unique to me it took a unique to me ie my body type my ability to visualize etc.....way to get me to change my stroke in a reproducible way to hit the cue ball clean and not get the right spin
it took robins keen eye and teaching skills to do it so i am sorry i cant give you or anyone else the magic bullet to fix their stroke
BUT
if you visit robin i strongly beleive he can help you......:)

I am located in Greece. If he can help by Video I would not mind to film myself.

I understand. Here is his website: robindreyer.com. You two can work it out. Please tell him denwhit on AZB got your attention.
Good Luck!

I had the same issue, I tended to put right spin on the ball and did not see the exact center of the ball properly. My fix? Aim a mm to the left on the cueball, no secrets needed. I've show the secret of random spin to others also that caused their misses or random position play, just need to not be too lazy to practice or too suborn to not listen.

You've identified the result of your stroke but maybe not the cause. This is where a set of expert eyes can help find the root cause.

Because I was moving my hand to the right when I shot ;)

Could not fix it after a long time trying so I said, hell with it, I'll just aim more left.
