Rodney shows up in Reno

Just heard that Rodney showed up in Reno. Went to the event and was walking around inside. Talked to some players. Didn't take long before he was thrown out. I'm not sure who escorted him off the premises, but he's gone.

Like I said yesterday, that bridge is burned.

He should know better then to show up there. If true, he was doing nothing but trying to start trouble or more BS. If he thinks players are going to boycott events for his side he's crazy and very delusional. They may tell him they are, but at the end of the day they have to eat, and in order to eat those guys must play what few events there are.

What an idiot. Super professional. Sounds like something a teenager would do at a high school dance.

Many bridges are steel, iron and concrete and some fires can be doused.
Rodney may have screwed up and Rodney may be able to fix this....if he wants.
I hope out turns out well for him, I think his persona adds to the game.

It takes all kinds and Rodney has a place in the pooldom.

I can't speak to what his intentions were. I can only tell you he was there and was removed from the premises.

verrrrry interesting

I'm putting in the popcorn and buying the beer. Subscribed and anyone is more than welcome to join me to watch this series drama.

Did anyone ever accuse him of being a rocket scientist?

Yeah well, they don't make bridges from timbers any longer. Sounds like he has a pneumatic hammer.

Wow tho. Talk about going down in flames. If he keeps it up, Mark won't be the only promoter that Shuns him. He will be a dangerous person to keep company with.

Not many tournaments to play in 2014. Rod may find out just how much influence Mark has if he keeps pushing buttons.

His famous Musconi Cup cue might be for zale.

Maybe Johnny will give him a job at the hall polishing balls and picking lint off his tables. Thats about all Rod is good for this week anyway.

I don`t think he is stupid/idiot. May be, he did not have clear understanding of Mark`s intentions. Banned from playing in the CSI events does not necessarily mean that he will be made untouchable and can`t enter even the premises of CSI.
He now knows that he is made untouchable. will this make other Pro s get united and Boycot Mark`s CSI events?

I doubt in a hundred years that will happen. If he keeps it up with the other Pros, he may find that they will Boycott him tho.

They won't allow him to FK with their money. Rod will be talking in their ear and they will be nervously looking around to see who is watching.
Rod will leave them with no choice but to shun him. Do you believe for one minute that the Pros are that loyal to anyone that they will mess up their potential earnings by getting too close with Rod in public.

Making a display of trying to get people in your camp is not a cool idea. Like Mahna said, High School mentality.

With Mark's announcement of the first Invitational Event, he just proved that he can do it with 4 players from North America. No matter who is on Rod's side, there will always be 4 great players who will be willing to play.

Wow, if true it was a dumb move on his part.

It is a telling statement that the only thing given the slightest chance of organizing pro pool players is to boycott something.

In the grand scheme of things the whole CSI/Rodney situation is a mouse fart in a windstorm.

A few years ago, I ran into Pots & Pans at the Cue Club. Asked me for a ride over to the Riv. Once there, he asked me to stick around for a few minutes. Seems he had been banned from the tournament area and was trying to see if CSI really meant it. Sure enough he was escorted out the doors and I drove him to Pool Sharks. Think CSI means what they say!

Lyn

Hope you're feeling well. Missed you last month while I was in Vegas.

He is part of Dragon still I assume. No one thinks he has a chance of having those guys boycott? Mika, Raj, CW etc?

why do i have the feeling that "ït's gonna get worse, before it gets better"?

stay the course, Mark. it's a shame the players didn't ban together for Bonus Ball back in JUL....

So instead of just picking up the phone he drives to Reno? Come on now, stop making excuses for the guy.

He played the Markulis Memorial tournament in Sacramento, I'm assuming he just followed the rest of the guys up there. He may have been looking for some action without even giving second thought that he was not only barred from the event, but barred from the premises as well.

I like that idiom and it reminds of my favorite from Shanon Daulton who was quoted to have said " It is so quiet here that u can hear the sound of field mouse peeing on a cotton Ball".

How do you know he didn't call Mark?

This is about respect. Rodney should consider it as his entry fee. When he gets some, maybe in the future, he'll be allowed to participate. Until then, Mark has made a business decision that doesn't include Rodney.
