They call me KD. Because it's my god given initials...and the Smoothest stroke you've seen this side of Kevin Durant.. I was KD , before my namesake was born, even in high-school..many years ago. AKA Killer Dude.

Any pool player worth his/her salt must have a nickname...right??

This reminds me of something funny that happened at the pool hall last night. I travel for work, so I'm usually only in a place for a month or two. This older guy comes up to me, starts shaking my hand, and asks "what was your name again?" I told him it was Eric. He still has my hand, pulls me in real close and says "bull s**t, I mean your road name!"

I couldn't help but laugh and told him that I don't have a road name. He drops my hand and said something like "sure, 'Eric', whatever you say".

Folks called me "Wisconsin Skinny" briefly in the '70s. One of my sponsors in the '80s called me "Smooth".

In 1991, Jimmy Scrima gave me the nickname, "Pony Tail", which sort of stuck till I left Maryland in '95.

I've also been known as the "Grumpy Old Pro". Still trying to shake that one!
 
Everyone called me mr tim when I owned the pool hall. I sold it to go on the road and now i call my self lastdimetaker tim majors. I have been inclined to change it to give em their money back tim. .. most people call me lucky..
 
The main two are "Batman" and "Kalifornia Kevin"

Batman was given to me by Chip Klein, because I used to (and still do) almost always wear comic book super hero t shirts and Chip told me that when he was talking about me to some other players that didn't know me by name, he would say, "You know, Batman...".

Kalifornia Kevin was given to me by Joey A when I was in the New Orleans area a couple of times for work. He took me around and showed me the local places and started introducing me as Kalifornia Kevin....
