I know there are a fair amount of in the industry that play pool, but I'd like to meet some fellow AZers!

I don't work in the actual field, but I do design drilling rigs at the comfort of my desk

I started in the oilfield biz in the 70's and became a zillionaire. I went into the billiard biz and became a hundredaire.

That's about right. I know a few guys that left the rig making $80k, to become "champions" making $1,000/mo.

I'm in NW North Dakota but not directly in oil. Designing power supply to the wells is a portion of the company.

I own some non producing mineral rights. Does that count?

I do spend my day poking holes in the ground. Good days for me is poking dry holes. I have hit lots of water though. The only gas I hit was in gas lines. Those wern't good days.

I worked field service mechanic in Wyoming., from coal to soda ash to uranium mines to anything that had a Cummins diesel in it.
Oil patch trucks, water trucks, rig up truck, pump trucks . cranes, loaders, dozers .gen sets . haul trucks drills, shovels, rubber tire dozers , snow cats graders, pavement grinders, rollers/compactors.
Anything that had a Cummins engine in it, that's all I did was engine work for 15 to 20 years, then I specialized in Hitachi shovels.
