Ronnie Wiseman responds to the "he stiffed me" thread posted by Shawn Dykes

What a past month this has been.....beginning to wonder if there's a single pool player, tournament promoter or cue maker alive who knows when to stop digging:smile:

M,

You might not know your hemp but you know a lot of other stuff.

This sad, pitifull fiasco was slipping into oblivion only to be resurrected with what appears to be a significant sub-plot.

When will they learn to let sleeping dogs lie:scratchhead:

Question:
Ronnie someone is saying you stiffed shane vanboening at dcc last year too and if that's correct then you have a history of stiffing so is it true?

Answer:
I played shane in Reno and I had a backer for the set. My backer ended up playin dice and lost everything including the stake money. I ended up losing to Shane but told him I would make it right I just needed time. I didn't have to do that because my backer was responsible for the bet but, it was the right thing to do. I paid shane back at the derby city classic. I didn't stiff him, my backer did but I did payoff the debt.
Questions posted by azers!
1. What else can 'stand good' mean. It means if the other guy doesn't pay, then you are guaranteeing that you will pay.

Answer: I stood good for scott because scott said he was good for the money. He said he had a lot of money on him so I vouched for him to be someone that would pay if he lost. I was honestly only doing it because I wanted shawn to hurry up and play the set with me because it was taking forever dealing with the side action crap.
I did make that mistake!

2. In the original thread, Shawn said Scott quit when he got ten games down, and gave the money to Ronnie (6 witnesses). Shawn then asked to 'square the penny' and Ronnie refused. This sounds like Scott lost 10 games, gave the money to Ronnie, and instead of paying Shawn, Ronnie used that money to keep on gambling. That would make Ronnie owe the whole enchilada.

Answer: First of all, scott lost and owes 3400! I had zero part of that side action. Scott never quit when he was 10 games down that part of the initial story was wrong that's why I'm setting it straight! Scott and shawn will admit that to everyone! He never got off the bet!

There were no witnesses to scott giving me money, there were 6 people that were told he gave me money but no one saw that because it was just me and scott! Scott did give me some money that night BUT he owed me the money from another bet. He was paying me back and that's what I kept betting per game with. It was not intended to square any side action and scott will attest to that!! Shawn had no idea and was assuming a lot of things about that night because he didn't get paid what he won off of the side bet which again, I had no part of!
There were a lot of untruths in that original post and like I said before, shawn only did it to pressure me into helping him get his money!! Yes I did owe him the last 500 I bet but I did tell him I'd pay and I have!! I never had any part of the sideaction and never shouldve let them use a coin on the table to keep score because then I wouldn't be here answering these questions and wouldn't be accused of this!

The only thing I did that night was make a mistake by allowing a coin on the table to track the side action........standing good for a guy because he said he had money and yes, not paying the last 500 I lost but I did tell shawn I'd pay him and I have! I haven't done everything else being thrown at me and its ashame that people are making judegments about that night from reading a post full of untruths from a guy they don't know and when they weren't there. This is the truth now.........believe it or not but I've set the record straight!

Ronnie wanted me to add that he thanks shawn for manning up and posting the apology but wish it had been more detailed so the truth was actually known by all. Ronnie also made mention that he's been told to sue shawn for defamation of character and az for allowing such slnderous things to be posted. He said he had no intentions of suing either. He just wants the truth to be told and to go on with his life!

Ronnie is full of it. When Shane wanted to square up, Ronnie told him that all his money was in the casino cage. No mention of a backer.

I dont understand why Ronnie is doing this but oh well. Just for the record i want everyone to know that I retracted in the original thread because Ronnie asked me to in order for him to start paying. He did tell me his side of the story that i had no clue of about 15 days after we played.

I only started the thread in the beginning because he made the comment that he didnt owe anything and i needed to do whatever to get my money from Scott and Justin. So i told my side of the story on here.

1. Scott gave him money once i ask to clear the debt of ten games. Ronnie was right about me not knowing how much. Scott said in front of others that he gave him $2500. After Ronnie decided to come clean 15 days later he said Scott owed him $500 from something else. Well thats not my problem and he should have been honest in the beginning.

2. Ronnie said i stalled the match while trying to get the coin right with Scott. Well, it took between 5 and 10 mins. because i wanted to quit since Ronnie wanted to use Scott's money to pay by the game and keep playing. I said no, that i wanted to get squared up. Ronnie then said "THE MONEY IS GOOD SHAWN. YOU WILL GET PAID, YOU HAVE MY WORD. HERE IS MY CREDIT CARD IF YOU WANT TO RUN IT." I then agreed to keep playing but stop the coin. Well, Ronnie told me that i was DEAD wrong if i did that. Made me feel like a piece of shit, so i said fine, lets play. Only because i was pissed off and not thinking right.

3. Why would someone give you there credit card information to run it for the full amount of $3900 if he didnt owe the full amount. I do believe Scott had involvement but i dont know all the moves they were pulling. I only know what Ronnie was telling me.

4. He is telling me that Justin owes a portion, Scott owes a portion and that he owes $2000. Well, as of this week he has sent one payment in the amount of $1100 a month later. He said "GIVE ME 48 HOURS AND I WILL TRY AND GET SOMEMORE." Its been 84 Hrs. and not even a phone call.

5. Why the word SUE. I have every text (about 200) that he has sent and it tells the truth so i have nothing to hide or worry about.

6. None of this would have happened if Ronnie would have did what he said he was gonna do. I did not want to run the Credit card in the beginning because i did not want to pay the fees, sales tax of 7%, and income tax of around 30%. So he said he would get my money the next morning from the bank. Next thing i know, around 2 o'clock the next day he was headed to the Carolina's. At that point i asked for his credit card information as a last result to get paid. He gave me all the information which i still have in case i have to go to court. But the card was declined for the amount he said run it for $3900. Wonder why he said run it for that amount????

7. The only thing i think i did wrong was lose my cool on some of the AZrs. Because they were making gestures when they didnt know what the deal was. So i apologize to anyone i spoke out at. SORRY.

8. This site is great in a lot of ways. It (yall) helped me get paid some of my money. Thanks.

9. Any questions for me? I will answer without losing it. Good or Bad.

10. $3900 owed in the beginning
$1100 paid
$2800 left owed

I hesitate to respond since I don't even know Shawn except by what he has posted on here. A lot of people went to bat for you Shawn and it was clear to me that it made a difference in getting you some resolution. It would have been nice if your numbers 7 and 8 would have been first on this list, but at least they made the top ten. ;)

Most of this info you told us about on your first thread, so this isn't news anymore. A part of me is still irritated about how you turned on the very people who were trying to help you. You broke down a little under pressure. It's happened to us all.

At this point in time, I would suggest you make a settlement with Ronnie for whatever you can get and let it go at that. Chalk it up to experience.

Shawn, thanks for letting us in the real story, everyone kinda figured that the apology was directly related to getting paid. I hope you get paid in full, and I'm looking forward to getting over to your room at some point in the near future. Matt Bulfin

Yes, like you said Jay, that's what SVB had to do. Quite telling, isn't it.

Integrity

Integrity is a very interesting possession because the owner gets to put his own price on it. What price are each of you willing to sell your integrity for? $100, $1000, $1,000,000, wouldn't sell it for any price?

I don't know about most of the board members but I do know that Scott, Ronnie, and Shawn will sell theirs for $3900 or less. Scott and Ronnie pulled the old shell game that has been going on for thousands of years clipping Shawn for a few thousands. Shawn fell for it and came on here for assistance. He received it. Then he sold out to Ronnie with a BS song and dance set of lies to us to try to get a few dollars out of Ronnie.

At the end of the day, regardless of how any of them play pool we know that their value as human beings is pretty low, $3900 or less by their own reckoning. Please note I didn't set this price, they did.

I could tell by Ronnie's recent side of the story that he hadn't paid the full amount. The sad part is that these type of people insult our intelligence by trying to feed us this bs.

Good advice, put it behind you and move on.
