Now that you mention it........ It seems to me, we, the taxpayers are going to get shafted big time with the bail out if it goes through. Basically we are rewarding people for mismanaging their companies. How in the heck did we ever wind up doing business this way? If we don't provide the bail out money AT TAXPAYERS' EXPENSE, the stock market could plummet and we could have some tough times ahead. Either way we have hell to pay for others who think that people who cannot afford to own a house, should still own one anyway, just because it is a nice thing for everyone to own their own house. Some people are just not responsibile enough to own a damn house.
The Congress is adding pork barrel spending to this bail out bill SO THAT THEY CAN GET SOME RELUCTANT CONGRESSMEN TO support the bailout bill. They got MILLIONS OF DOLLARS going to Puerto Rico, money for wooden arrows and so much EXTRA MONEY FOR SPECIAL PROJECTS, that it is making me sick.
It's time for America to go ahead and accept the withdrawal symptons of no credit for anything, except a house and then you have to put 20% down or you can't buy the house. People need to quit spending more than they make. GOVERNMENT needs to quit spending more than they take in and they need to lower taxes, not raise them. We need to quit sending money overseas to other countries and start rebuilding our own damn country. Printing additional money when we want some more simply makes a larger debt for future generations to figure out how to pay it off. Before it's over America will be owned by all foreign corporations. But the bottom line is people have to quit buying crap on credit and government needs to do the same. The politicians that have put these PORK BARREL items in this bailout bill should be tarred and feathered and I would volunteer to melt the tar and apply it. Are there any others out there that are fed up with the kind of BS?
Politicians who continue to pass bills with pork barrel spending should be exposed for the criminals that they are and kicked out of office by the people who put them in office.
I would prefer a dumb-ass politician who didn't have a college degree, no law degree, no friends who were politicians and his or her only credit to fame was that they were honest and so tight with a buck that they squeaked when they walked. We need some fiscal responsibility and I don't hear any of the taxpayers saying they are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore. I'm fed up with it and I'm going to start sending off some scathing emails to my congressman. Hell, here in Louisiana, we still have Dollar Bill (Bill Jefferson) under indictment for accepting bribes and this crap has been going on for over two years and now he's running for office again...WTFIGO? For Christ sake, he was caught with $90,000.00 in his freezer by Federal agents.
We need to start literally crucifying politicians who steal from taxpayers. Quick justice, tar and feather or crucifying and yeah, I'll drive the first nail too.
