Ronnie Wiseman stiff's me for $3900

Air barrels

I have a player who owes me $250. When I see him in April I will be taking all his gear, following him to his car and taking as many car parts from underneath it that I can grab. This will be the interest on waiting a year to be paid as he has thrown it in my face. That's how you deal with trash like this.

I have a list with lots of well known names on it that gamble big and win and it;s all a big party.
But, when they lose, you get some song and dance, or just a disappearing act.
Somehow, they think they are entitled to not pay, for reasons I have yet to fathom.
One player owed a sucker he had beaten out of a ton of money, and said he should call it even, because he warned him off getting in a trap with another great player at an earlier time, and therefore would have lost at least that much anyway????????

Ha ha you have serious issues:)

I'd like to know what happened with the guy immediately above you that is banned. Did he steal his stiffer's exhaust pipe? ha ha ha

Could be the guy who was looking for a cue ID on an imported cue, pictured sitting
across a feces laden sink, with a meth pipe sitting next to it.
I got a chuckle out of that one

If you guys are so curious and just had to know, I don't know why you didn't just read it for yourself instead of bumping old news.

And Ronnie Wiseman has never been a dirtbag that I've seen. He's always been extremely polite.

Strange...after this was posted over five years ago....people just kept asking if there
was a payment.....WTH?

Ronnie still owes me money after he stole it from me, if anyone trusts him they do it at their own peril.

Ronnie the Rat is a very appropriate nickname.

Pool halls and pool players, their all a joke. Good luck to all that associate with them. What make me laugh are the 25 to 40yr olds that don't work and think that pool is the way that they make their living. I see SVB,Alex,Dennis, Sky, and possibility B. Thorpe making a living the rest of them are pool bums. Know that for sure !!!

In the pool halls I grew up in, if someone fired an air barrel, they weren't allowed
back in until they paid it or part of it with plans to pay the rest.
After everybody was square, they were back gambling having dinner together again.
Some people will never understand the pulse of a pool hall, and how a guy can fire an
air barrel without penalty other than a few day suspension like junior high school.
The pool hall is an interesting take on socioeconomic issues.

Sad truth is, he enjoy's that name. Every-time I hear that I think of Jack Nicholson in the Departed.....

Just want to let everyone know that Ronnie stiffed me for $3900 at my poolroom in Hattiesburg. I am not a good player at all and he beat me at the same game that i happen to win this time. We played for 2 days straight and he paid me most of it but during our match in the middle of the night he promised to pay the next day if i let him continue to play. I thought there would be no problem. I know he had Scott Frost and Justin Hall hanging around with him and now he is saying they were in and he cant pay me until they pay him. That was not our agreement. I wanted to quit so this wouldnt happen but his words out of his mouth were I will pay you in full the next day. Well, guess what? He left town the next day and is trying to tell me they are responsible. I have talked to both of them and they are saying he is crazy. I am not going to chase the guy around or anything but i want to let everyone know what happened.
Call Ronnie and say you got a call from someone with a heavy Brooklyn accent that offered to buy the $3900 debt for $1300 and you would rather have their $1300 cash than Ronnie's $3900 IOU.

I've found this thread very enlightening. If I knew you didn't have to pay off gambling bets, I'd been betting much higher than I have in the past. Thanks for the information.

Anyone want to play some $500,000 sets?

I will only play if it's for 5 million.
No more sissy bets for me!

I remember back in the eighties at Wagon Wheel Willies in south Atlanta two players were playimg a race to 9 for $2000. The money was put on top of the lights. One player was up 7-2 with the break. He wanted to go to the bathroom. Came back and won the final 2 games to win the match Reached up to get the money; guess what, the money was gone. Someone took the money while he was in the bathroom knowing his player was going to lose.
