After seeing this cue through all of its stages, its awesome to see it in your hands finished. Doug makes a great looking/playing cue!

Thanks. Yes it's a Ron Thomas 1×2 , signed in the lid. It used to belong to the late Timmy Scruggs, from his personal collection.
 
I can definitely see why Honduran Rosewood Burl has become a popular choice lately, gorgeous cue!

Talk about a stunner! That cue is simply outstanding, from both near and far!
But the most satisfying thing about Doug's cues are how great they play.
Several top players are under Doug's spell, and they are in love with his playability craftsmanship.

I had a twin to that case.It is embossed.Not tooled.I miss mine.Gorgeous case.Friction fit lid.No latch.Ron told me that when he built a case and the lid fit the case tightly,he didn't use a latch.Goes great with that awesome cue.Congrats to the lucky owner.

Thanks Will. Like yourself, I have cues from many top tier cue makers. You become spoiled and your opinions become jaded towards the playability of those cues over time. It's reassuring to know you've found a cue maker that flies somewhat under the radar and can still "deliver the goods" consistently without spending a small fortune. Doug is one of those cue makers. I have 3 of his cues now and can honestly say I'm very satisfied. This one is over the top awesome.
