Roy "Sensei" Yamane

Bright Light in Any Room

Wonderful man, wonderful life, gracious to others. I'm very lucky to of known him since the mid seventies in S. Cal.

This is sad news Johnny.

I didn't know Roy well, but had the pleasure of playing him several times in league several years back. He played pretty sporty.

He was always pleasant and helpful.

If memory serves, he coached several of the lady pros in the area.

RIP sensei.

Very sad
I saw Roy several times here in Denver over the years.
Nice guy, and he was really well liked.
RIP Roy

Sensei has left the poolroom ...

I knew Roy on and off for almost 30 years. There were times I wouldn't see him for years but when we met up, it was always like seeing a long lost friend.

RIP, Roy.

Roy Yamane

Sorry to hear of Roy's passing.

I brought him ALASKA around 1990. He was a good guy. We always bumped into each other at the various events in Vegas.

I remember when his one of a kind Joss disappeared at one of the BCA events - never to be seen again.

He lived in Hawaii for a few years and ended up in Colorado.

He was good for pool- a very gentle soul.

RIP

Roy never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was a great help to me, and I will miss him.
