No that's when Bob Runde left, They started rounded points or cnc'd in 86!
 
The cue is completely legitimate, I had the cue refinished by Evan a year or so ago and he wrote a letter with the cue that states it was made by Bob in 1982. I also had a discussion with Bob about two years ago, before the cue was refinished and he recalled the cue and also said that it was made in 1982. I have the letter somewhere and have told Colin that I am doing my best to try and find it. The cue is the real deal and for all the people that try to figure out the years of Schon cues by spliced points or CNC points, best of luck to you, I tried for years. Colin is a stand up guy and knows what he is talking about as a seller.

wow, I've never seen this cue before. Would Bob make dull points in 1982???
All the old S and R Schon's I've had before 87' were sharp as can be.
