Agree 100%. I think there's a good possibility that we will sneak up on the Euros and have an exciting event. I'm very looking forward to watching.

We do. A team full of monsters. I love seeing Corey and John on a team. They are equal or better to everyone on Team Europe.
And we wonder why pool is in the state that it is! Until the people come together for the love of the game, this how pool will be!

Unlike other sports pool is not support by those who make money off pool players. Until Professional & Amateur Pool figure out how to get back from those place pool players spend money there money. The flow of cash will be in one direction only.
Threads or not, it'll be a great show.

Over the weekend my buddy and I drove to Decatur, IL to a poolroom called Starship Billiards because we saw that the room and local league operators were having an event where Mark Wilson and the American Mosconi Cup Team would be in attendance. It ended up being a fantastic event. I've never seen so many enthusiastic junior pool players in my life. There must have been at least 50 (maybe more) juniors that play APA there, and were signed up for the clinic with Coach Wilson and the team. Each pro spent time with multiple juniors working on different exercises to help with fundamentals. Afterwards the pros were shooting around with the kids, and playing challenge matches with anyone at the poolroom that signed up. It was a really good time, and it looked like everyone was having fun including the pros. They seem like a really good group of guys and nice to be around. I got to meet John Schmidt personally when I played him in one of the challenge matches, and he's a super nice guy. If you have a chance to go to the even they're putting on with the team next week at Big Stix billiards in Illinois you need to go. I'm behind our team all the way, and I know they can go over there and get it done. Go team USA!
Did you bothere to ask how they got Jrs. interest in Pool, or what incentives the room owner gave the Jrs., to make the Pool Expierences affolrdable for the kids?
Here in Phoenix the local Boys & Girls Clubs all have Pool Tables, most of the kids using the club are from lower income famalies.
Pool is not as high on the last, as competers, or computer games. That is why I ask how the room you described got the kids interested in pool?

With all the tournaments coming up and people playing,
why talk about a dog and pony show?
Pool players like to play and not watch.
Lots of tournaments coming up this Thanksgiving and weekend.
Amateur pool is alive and well.
And remember, amateurs play just as good as the professioanals in the USA.

I had a hard time deciphering most of that, but it looked like to me the league operators liked running junior leagues there. All of the kids were playing APA that morning before the Mosconi Cup team showed up. As in most things I think it comes down to league operators and room owners that really care.
