All of the enginuity out there for building jigs and adapters to get stuff to work for cue building...
The thing is only a little bigger than the lan cutter.

That thread?

DB I like that one. I could have used that last night...

Joey,
The blades can be found at Home Depot. Cordless circular saw blades. You will have to make an adapter for the blade to fit the 1/2 " arbor and some way to attach to the tool post. In my case I have a lathe that this will be all it is used for. I will mount it in place of the tool post. The Blades I was looking at were like these. http://www.sussexsawandtool.com/specialty/apcordless.html
I have not researched it to find a higher number of teeth but this is what I have right now. 0.039"

DB could you show a pic of your tool post mount for that cutter?
I do like that it's portable.

I took an old Atlas 9X12" lathe, took off the compound and made a bracket to hold a Sears 1.5 h/p router motor. I took the motor out of the housing and clamped it to a piece of channel and mounted that where the compound used to go. It stays set-up and ready to go. I use a 2.5" .040 Jeweler's slotting blade that MSC, Enco or any of the supply houses carry. I used to use a .025 blade but it flexed to much. The router turns faster than I would like but at least it has plenty of power. I've been using this same set-up for 15 years now.

Mill

Sorry guys but doesn't everybody have a mill and a dividing head.
I had a rotory tool.
I made a bracket and mounted on my lathe. didn't workout too good.
I use my mill, humbug to true-up but cuts clean.
Gotta say that I made adapters and a made an adaptor plate and mounted a B&D Router inplace of the original motor...warp speed now!

hi ya dickie
i thought i read something on here recenetly about a way to reduce the router speed.
i'm wondering if a normal household type rheostat would work???
i was cutting some ivorine 4 the other day and it was leaving a nasty burnt brown colored edge because it's too fast i guess
geeeeezzzzzzz, sparks were flying off the ivorine too!!!

have you bought one of these yet, Rocket ? my experience with some of the smaller HarborFreight stuff is a lack of power ?

let us know about your experience with this item,,,,

thanks....... j
Jack I just ordered the grinder this am.. I picked up a blade from a toe kick saw last night. 3-3/8 " Dia. 3/32 kerf. I can order the thinner kerf which will probably work better. Might even be able to mount a slitting saw without too much of a problem.

I bought a speed reducer once and along with reducing the speed it also reduced the torque so that a 1.5 H/P router would come to a stop. I gave it to Sherm.
