Just curious... I would like to know what playing cue (and shaft, tip, ferrule etc..) you use if you have been playing with it for three or more years.
Coco SPete, g-10 pin, Aegis, I believe. (thought it mas 13mm, but ye olde caliper says 12.5!). 2 shafts, one w/ Moori soft, one Tiger Sniper. If I get no feels from one, the other usually fixes that.
I had a Meucci Gamber 2 (Came with 2 red dot shafts, but later aquired a matching black dot shaft), for 7 years, before selling it on, it played pretty nice and it had a good feel, but after that length of time, I actually began to lose the feel for the cue, and so, that was why I sold it
I'm not sure what ferrules that Meucci use, but I had tried various cue tips on it, from Le Pro, (Came with the cue), then Elkmaster, then Royal Oak, (Which played pretty nicely and gave good control), and finally Moori Med, which were sweet to play with, and gave great all round control with the snowball.
Jacoby J-2, played with the standard shaft & tip (lepro) for years, but had it retipped...then a few months ago, switched to a Tiger X shaft with sniper tip.
I kind of wonder why I felt the need to change, but maybe I'm just a gadget phreak, always hoping to find the magic wand? Lately, I've been thinking of maybe buying a Pechauer?
I've had a Fury RP for about 5 years. Stock shaft and ferrule...triangle tip and a regular irish linen wrap (I don't like the feel of that gold in the wrap that comes on the cue) I'm thinking of putting a Tiger stack leather wrap on it.
Steve
I also play a older plain jane Joss with a original 314 with Sniper tip. I like it !!
I have many other more costly cues but this is my everyday player. I've played with it for many years.
