This is how I see it…what do you think

One of these three should win it.

2/1 Xiaoting Pan= Could repeat
5/2 Jasmine O= Always dangerous
5/2 Allision Fisher= A champ finds a way

These wouldn’t be a surprise

4/1 Karen Corr= Always comes to play
4/1 Ga Young Kim= Needs to stay focused
4/1 Kelly Fisher= Alt break took away from her

Not out of the question with some good draws and rolls

6/1 Monica Webb= Bridesmaid for awhile now
8/1 Vivian Villarreal= Never know
8/1 Jeanette Lee = I’d love to see it
10/1 Gerda Hofstatter = Would be shocker
10/1 Helena Thornfeldt = Needs to hit another gear.
10/1 Tiffany Nelson = Alt break has hurt her too

Good Luck All 64

Wow, Johnny T, you're really spinning the wheels.

Let's start with this. Pan was one rack short of winning WPBA North Carolina, dominated the field at WPBA Michigan City and dominated the field at the World Pool championships. I think Pan is on fire and is going to be tough to beat. My take:

Xiaoting Pan 9/5
Allison Fisher 3/1
Karen Corr 4/1
Ga Young Kim 7/1
Kelly Fisher 10/1
Jasmin Ouschan 12/1
None of the above 30/1

Might have to re-evaluate once I see the draw. As always, I'll be rooting for the "none of the above" category.

It says on the WPBA site that they will be updating scores after every match...that's cool. I've seen a lot of good changes since Linda Chen has took over.

Jasmine 12/1? Kelly 10/1?
I probably won't bet on this tournament anyhow. I'd only bet with my heart instead of my brain. Johnnyt

Jeanette Lee was the lucky one to draw Jasmine in the first round. Brackets are up on the WPBA site. WTG. Johnnyt

Ouschan vs. Jeanette Lee in round one!

Almost all women’s top player of the world meets this week in the Alpine Casino to attend at the San Diego Classic tournament organized by WPBA.

I see that Aileen Pippen is back, though she is now Aileen Dimmick. Should be interesting to see if she still has a good game after getting married.

This event has some pretty scary talent showing up. I look forward to checking it out.

Notice

that AZB's own Holly Sholes is in the mix, and has to play Helena the first match. Good luck Holly.

Final 8

After careful consideration after seeing the draw my final eight are:

A. Fisher
K. Fisher
K. Corr
M. Webb
X Pan
Gerda
Jasmine
Vivian

Another name

I am glad to finally see (it's about time) is Joanne Ashton, one of the Canadian Ashton twins. I wonder where Bev is?

Sorry I started another thread. I didn't see this one. Lock the other thread if necessary.

Six matches are updated at this thim on the WPBA web site. Pretty fast. Now if we could get streaming live...I'd be willing to pay for it. Johnnyt

What do they have only six tables set up there? They gave scores for six matches at 4pm.est...then nothing. Johnnyt

Yes, I've been to WPBA San Diego. The grand ballroom of the Viejas has room for just six tables.

Looks like Jeanette not as concerned about playing Jasmine as everybody here was.

Lee - 9 Ouschan - 4

Unless you know something i dont, there are no WU sisters- I think it's Ram. But in any event, neither will be there. I don't know of any first timers for SD.

Zhou looks like a near lock for Vegas though. She just has to win at most one more match in NJ today over Buffie. She is a big favorite although she is missing much more today i just heard.
Close but no cigar, guys. Their last name is Cha.

Koreans put their family name first. Cha YuRam and Cha BoRam. It's quite common for children to have the same second syllable in their name (Ram in this case). The individual names come from Chinese. They don't really have popular names like "Jenny" or "Bob." A person's name is (usually) whatever two Chinese syllables the parents pick to go together. Another example of this is my two friends Choi "JayGyu" and Choi "SeongGyu."
