A big disappointment for me.... but yeah what can you do... Jeanette must had played very good!

Jasmine started well trading the first 3 games, then Jeanette strung wins until the last where she hung a 9 in the jaws for Jasmine's 4th - Jeanette won the match on the next game. Jasmine wasn't sharp, her safeties weren't good enough and her breaks weren't productive.

This was the match for the sweaters but it didn't pan out for Jasmine - she will have to pick it up, though Jeanette lost the next match. That gives todays afternoon games some interest on the loser's side.

The match for San Diego fans was a new comer Shar playing Herndon that Mallisa won 9 to 3 after which half the stands emptied out.

Thanxs there for the update! Is there a possibilty you can post more...?? I would love to see an report of the austrian battle Gerda against Jasmin!

Jasmine beats Gerda (gets to 4 or 5) and Helena and is still in the hunt on the losers side. Jasmine is picking up the pace and is more assertive and running balls. She is more confident and will be hard to beat.

Kim and Pan are still winning. Atwell beat Sakai and Paglia lost a close one coming from behind.

A final of Jasmine and X Pan would be a show. I'd like to see Monica finally win a tournament...she's capable of doing it. Johnnyt

12:00 start PST

Exciting matches out here. XTP is looking like a machine in complete control. Jasmine is catching a gear and also looking good. Sarah Ellerby had a strong showing against Angel with very few holes in her game. Angel now has to face Jasmine today. Good stuff.

Whoa. I just realized I may be wrong about the start time of 12:00. I seem to remember seeing 10:00 matches on the previous days. Don't want to give out bad info.

Good matches

If Xiaoting and Ga Young both win 1 more, they will bump heads again like in the Carolina Classic final.

Kim White is playing Hsin Huang, which be a good match. Jasmin already took care of Gerda.

Anna Kostanian looks like she's getting more comfotable on the tour. If she gets by Jenn she's in the final 16. I think she can be a good one on tour. Johnnyt

I heard Jasmin say that she was staying here in San Diego until it is time for the Vegas tournament. In reply to a previous post if she qualified, she doesnt have to for the Vegas event. They give out many spots to overseas players.

I am sure many of the locals here will be showing up to On Cue a bit more often to catch her playing some til the middle of May.

Hey stranger,
how are you? Are you coming to vegas next month?

Oh, how I wish I was there to watch this one!

The last eight include all of the Top 5 by ranking entering the event (A Fisher, Corr, K Fisher, Pan, and Webb), as well as 2006 BCA Pro Event Champion Jamsin Ouschan. Anna Kostanian and Julie Kelly have much to be proud of, but must surely be viewed as cinderellas relative to these six superstars of pro pool.

Wow, this is really going to be something special!

Not to mention, you'd think the defending champion would deserve an invite. :)

Jasmine vs Allison

Let me tell ya, this one was smokin' hot. It was billed as a rematch of the BCA event from last year, in which Jasmine won the championship.

Jasmine looked like she was on a mission. She took control from the beginning and built a 7-0 lead. The score went to 8-1 (if I remember right)In the next few games Jasmine had the chance to put Allison away but came up short on some runouts. Allison would be left real tough only to find her way out of the rack gaining some momentum and bringing the score to 8-4. In the middle of the next game Jasmine got control of the table and when she made the 8 and came across the table for perfect shape on the 9, she chalked her tip and slapped the cube down on the rail as if to say, "I've been trying to take you out for the last 3 games and you're not going to get away this time"!! Yeow!!! Final score, 9-4.
