Saturday: Semifinals of 2013 U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship

Jim is now interviewing Shane. He says he got some funny rolls, but it went his ways. Shane and Jayson roommates at this tournament. Not much conversation there. Shane packs up to leave the table.

Now we wait for Van-Van and Niels. Whjy can't they move the camera over there?

Oh, man, they did. YAY! :happydance::happydance::happydance:

6-5, Van-Van and Niels. We can see, but not commentary. I like this. Thank you, Accu-Stats.

From what I saw from the live scoring, Shane was down 4-1 and finished the set 10-1....soooooooo strong

So will Shane have to lose two matches this evening since it is a double elimination tourny?

No, it's an extended race to 13 in the finals. One long race. No double elmination for Shane. He's in the hotseat.

Let's take a roll call here. Who's watching Niels and Van-Van right now? :D

Van-Van running out. I love this kid.

Turned the cameras around

At the conclusion of Shane's match, the turned the camera to van van and Niels table. Not a great angle, but the match is now streaming.

6-5 lee

Who is that in the background giving Shane an interview? I can hear the entire thing. LOL

That was a fun match. Shane did get lucky on like 2 or 3 shots, but he still played way better than Shaw.

The interviewer keeps asking Shane the same question: "In one word, how would you describe your game?" He asks this over and over again. Poor Shane has to say over and over again: "Awesome. Awesome. Awesome." :D

I would feel hipped if I made it to the end undefeated and then lost to someone who already has a loss!

I didn't like it the first time I saw it, either. My other half stayed on the winner's side, only to get beat in an extended race in the finals. It was at Q-Masters, in fact. Michael Coltrain won. Didn't seem fair to me, but that is what they do in most pro tournaments these days.

Van-Van 7, Niels 6.

"Awesome" would still be understated.
