Are my "Runde" era socks worth more than my "Clark" era socks?
I have several "Runde" era T-shirts. These have the pointed or V-neck openings. The "Clarke" era T-shirts have themore rounded openings. IMO they all wear about the same.

Lol sounds about right to me

ive got a schon ltd1202. Its a new one and everyone around here who hits with it loves it. The other night i let a freind shoot with it while here at home and after a while i wanted to put it away (it was expensive) so i offered him a nice mcdermott I used to play with. He didnt want to switch, and afterward wanted to know where he could get one.

and hes been a jacoby guy for at least a decade. If schons dont sell its because they might not be as well known to some people. Locally all u see is mcdermots, meuccis, vikings, jacobys, joss. Only the guys who actually travel (these guys never leave the pool hall) have seen nice schons. or even heard of them. But everyone whos hit with mine friggin loves it.

nothing like a little perspective eh?

I can remember when I thought my $100 meucci was a "fine" example of a custom cue. I was very proud of it and it served me well. I missed balls for months with that cue and was happy. Then my pool hall "buddy" let me try his fancy Schon. I was now F***ED! LOL now my cue sucked!

Thus began the journey... Next was a Joss (east) since I was told it was about as close to a Schon hit as you could get without the high price. This was somewhat true and a I loved that cue for a while. Then I had the chance and cash to buy the real thing from a friend of mine. I'm not sure why he sold it to me since he has tried to buy it back ever since ( about 10 years now) but it plays fantastic. It's actually the one I was trying to get info on a few post's up the thread. It's one of those special cues that if you let someone use it and they play long enough to get a feel for it, without exception they try to buy it. just something about it feeels reeaallly nice......

But I now I'm playing with a 6 point Blue Grass by Richard Harris (my new baby) and I feel complete... for now :D

Bullshit you have no clue what the hell your talking about I work in a pro shop and I have come across quite a few schon cues with the weight bolt glued in as a matter of fact a friend had to take his to a machine shope to get them to take it out, we tried heating up the bolt just to see if we could loosen the glue and nothing worked.

The next time you decide to comment on a subject know what the hell your talking about first schon cues doesn't do it with them all but he does it with quite a few. Maybe you should call him since you know so much about the cue.
Funny you should say that, because its not actually a weight bolt, its a construction bolt. Its meant mainly to ensure that the delrin butt cap doesnt fall off. Delrin is notorious for not glueing up well enough to trust it without a mechanical fastener.

He will be at the Derby. I know something happened to the cue but I didn't press to ask him what that was. I don't think it warped because that would simply mean replacing the Predator shaft.

Hey Scott,

When I saw Alex in Manila back in April 2007 he was using a different cue. I asked what happened to his r12 and he joked that it was sick or injured.. then one of the railbirds said Alex cracked the white part on the buttsleeve when he slammed it on the floor after a missed shot a couple of weeks prior to that day on a set against Orcullo if i'm not mistaken. Maybe Bandido knows what really happened to the r12.

I think he is using a Mezz cue now not Fury.
