Scooter, Family Man and Best Hustler in America

Whats yalls thought bout sparks a draggin???

Baltimore has had its share of coin circulation in times gone by. :embarrassed2:

We ( most ) have seen our favorite hometown hero come back in town like this no??? Yet we praise these guys knowing? Yes then proceed to interact. Big scores- ya feel dirty? Nope, when ya gonna be back. That's exactly how it is - don't kid yalls self

Amen sista, and for the record two things. If you think you can carry $2000 in coins by yourself you CAN NOT, AND the back room at J&J was not just for sleeping. Lol. Jam - did u happen to see my post referring to the Goose?

I must have missed it. I'll find it, though. I'm a good researcher. ;)

Is it so hard for you to believe that a person who is as passionate about pool as I am would like to pay tribute to a project that I think it pretty cool and holds promise? I guess not. :(

Maybe you were posting while under the influence, which is why you didn't even take the time to make sure your quoted matter in your post was not in disarray. Thanks for the effort.

No, I wasn't under the influence, however I think you are. You keep talking about how the camera loves this guy, and his cute smile and wink (gag). Why don't you just admit you have the hots for the thief?

Conman extrodinaire

The guys a complete conman. Sure he's entertaining, but he will chop up the rail anytime he has the chance. Surely that's nothing compared to a couple hundred thousand these guys stole from carwashes. They got busted twice because they were too stupid not to cover their faces in front of security cameras. I think Scooter did a couple days in jail, not made to pay restitution. They should have chopped off his hands. This country is soft on crime and that's why there are so many scumbags. It's just wrong to glorify this guy.

I'm 60 years old and entering the autumn of my life. Most people know I am married. It's insulting, what you have written about me.:(

sounds like a cool fun show, I just hope they don't give the impression that these guys are world class players

I completely agree.

Impressed with the backers!

That is indeed some of the big dogs of the pool world getting behind this. A very good sign!

I know it wasn't the plan when you started this thread but if Keith would get into the show as a player or even a game maker I know that episode or episodes would become instant classics! I have to believe that he would be welcomed to the project with open arms.

I just learned something new about this documentary film project last night, so I will refrain from expressing my thoughts at this time, other than to say stand by.

Interestingly, the campaign to raise funds has launched. I just looked at last evening for the first time. The industry sponsors believe in this project. I'm totally impressed with how they have banded together to launch the campaign for the American Road Player. AzBilliards, Tony with Hustlin' USA Clothing Co., Greg Sullivan with Diamond and Derby City Classic, and Pooldawg, which are the pool industry's top entities in the business, are supporting it, which should speak volumes.

I hope when it's all said and done that folks will give it a chance and come away with a smile on their face after seeing the final product. :)

I completely agree.

Thank you.

They committed these crimes repeatedly in many locations over years. It wasn't a single failure of conscience, it is morally bankrupt character. Guy hasn't turned over a new leaf or has regrets. It's just a big joke. Best joke is that this guy procreated and has children that will learn right from wrong from him.

I was going to point out the sad fact that a guy like this is a father as well. Maybe whatever money comes of this will find it's way to give those kids a good home and a stable life, but I somehow doubt it...

I predict he'll find a way to lose whatever he earns from this while trying to make a bigger score. Look at the guy who had that $40m gambling run, only to lose it all... People like this never know when enough is enough, and will push their luck. I guess that's where the old term "going for broke" comes from.... Won't stop till he's broke.

I feel really sorry for those kids. At least the wife had a choice, the kids don't. Daddy is a trainwreck waiting to happen.

Seriously, though... Couldn't they have done this around someone who has a bit more moral fortitude? Then again, if you really think about it, this guy does typify the average American's perception of a "pool hustler" quite perfectly, so I guess we shouldn't be surprised. And what can you really expect from our reality-TV based culture that seems to be accelerating the dumbing-down of our country at warp speed?

I expect the show will probably be a hit. If I watch (which I admit I probably will) I will be doing so with a warped sense of morbid curiosity and a smidgen of guilty pleasure. I hate thieves and will be rooting for him to go bust at every turn. Will the show let that happen?

Fact is, it will probably be a hit, and it will probably be the only pool shown on TV.

There's so much *****in' and moanin' in this forum about the lack of corporate sponsors (I mean global non-pool related companies with really deep pockets) and the diminishing number of top-tier tournaments, the lack of national pro pool tour, etc....

Do any of you really think this will help draw big money back to pool? IMHO, this show is just going to dig that hole even deeper.

It's really sad that pool is perceived by the public the way it is... and that it doesn't get more respect as an actual sport in the USA. Sadly, that chasm is about to get wider and deeper.

That was my objection with Scooter winning the "St. Louie Louie Award".

I saw it with my own eyes, as did many others.

Strange who people worship I suppose.

Before you judge ur information is wrong, just prove where they got arrested twice, they all got charged once, did there time, paid fines, and over and done with. also hope your
Saying couple hundred thousand in quarters is sarcasm, cuz that's a joke lol

I would love to see Chew-bacca involved. Big personality and a big gambler
Scooter and Chew know each other well. If they are going to show any of the games it doesn't get much better than Tony Watson in action

How would you know that scooter has done this repeatedly in many locations over years?

Funny how you are avoiding responding to the part about Scooter being a POS dump artist.

Not avoiding anything, just the fact ur in California, makes me wonder how u know he dumps, or where you have seen it with ur own eyes? Going by what rumors you hear doesn't mean it's true, and every hustler at some point has lost, or broke even with a fish to make a bigger score, but im sure he does it with his own money.

If there was a fund to stop the production of this show, I would donate to that. This is not a representation of the game that I like.

Don't tell me what I know sir. It's all public record. There were 2 separate incidents one in Kentucky and another in Ohio. Many many more that were never noticed by unsuspecting carwash owners or police.
Go look for yourself....Now what??

You really want rational people to believe this guy did this twice and got caught twice? Sure man whatever you say. I seen Scooter lose his A$$ mostly. He will fire again, sure because when you are playing with other people's hard earned money it's easy. Guy did 7 days in jail. That doesn't mean anybody has to forgive or forget.

7/11/13

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Four men face charges for stealing hundreds of dollars in coins from a Frankfort car wash.

Frankfort Police arrested Fredland Goodman and Jonathan Tedder after they ran from the business on Versailles Road.

Larry Searce and Chad Noureddine were later arrested in Lexington.

Police say the men used attacked a fishing line to a dollar bill, put the money in the machine and pull it out after four quarters came out.

"There were several hundred dollars that was seized from the perpetrators," says Major Fred Deaton with Frankfort Police.

All four are from out of state. Officers are looking into if other area businesses were hit the same way.

Second offense Dated 7/30/13...http://2presspapers.northcoastnow.com/police-closing-in-on-thieves-who-cleaned-up-at-local-car-wash/

North Ridgeville police are wrapping up an investigation they say should result in charges against men they believe robbed a change machine at a local car wash. Two men were captured on film stealing $800 from a change machine at the Wash Wizard car wash, 36360 Center Ridge Road, on June 11, according to Detective Patrick West. The men didn’t use a weapon in the crime, but instead used a tricked-out dollar bill they would insert into the machine and then pull back out after it had dispensed change. “It’s a bill that has some apparatus attached to it so they can pull it back out after the machine has dispensed the coins,” West said. In tracking down the thieves, West turned to the Internet. He also disseminated photos of the two men caught in the act by the car wash security cameras to media outlets in hopes someone would recognize the men and call police. On a daily basis, West would sit down at his computer and search news stories on Google for similar crimes. “Sure enough, we found one,” said West, of a car wash theft he came across in Frankfort, Ky., in early July, where four men were caught robbing a car wash there in the same manner as the one in North Ridgeville was victimized. “We contacted the law enforcement agency in Kentucky, got their reports and the booking photo, and sure enough, it’s the same M.O. and one of the same individuals,” West said. West compared the security photo snapped in North Ridgeville with the booking mug shots to match his suspect with one of the men arrested in Kentucky, although he wouldn’t identify which individual in the Kentucky crime he believes was involved in the theft here. Charged in connection with the thefts in Frankfort were two men from northeast Ohio: Fredland Goodman, 29, of Cleveland, and Chad Noureddine, 22, of Parma. Goodman pleaded guilty to unlawful use of a slug and unlawful taking, both misdemeanors. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 83 days suspended provided he not commit similar crimes in Franklin County, Ky., and he stay out of Franklin County. He was also fined $254. Noureddine also pleaded guilty to unlawful use of a slug and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 83 suspended, provided he not commit a similar crime, and he was ordered to stay out of Franklin County. He was also fined $254, according to a spokesperson for the Franklin County District court. West would not say which man – Goodman or Noureddine – was involved in the theft in North Ridgeville, but said one was. He said he knows the identity of the second individual, but not his current location. He did say he was getting ready to take the case to the Lorain County grand jury. And while West’s use of Google helped him crack the case, he also received tips from the public after pictures of the two men caught on camera while committing the crime in North Ridgeville appeared in local papers and on local newscasts. “We got some local tips, but we also got some tips from out of town that aided our investigation. The great thing about the Internet is, people anywhere can view them, and that’s part of what aided our investigation in identifying these people,” West said. And an added twist to the story: The two suspects in North Ridgeville were also apparently semiprofessional pool players, according to police. The two apparently needed to work on their games if they turned to robbing coin machines for money. “If they are doing this, then their earning on the pool circuit must not be sufficient,” West said. - See more at: http://2presspapers.northcoastnow.c...ed-up-at-local-car-wash/#sthash.O97aTTr8.dpuf
