Scott Frost vs Ronnie Allen in his prime

We've hit 300 posts, and have no decision. It's slower than a one-pocket game. Still waiting for one 'Account' of SJD in action against a player, in his prime. Is there anybody out there?

Punter, they're scarcer then hen's teeth!

Punter, they're scarcer then hen's teeth!<-No, that would be the number of 'friends' that you have !

Bunter...Wet-earred kids like you, and illiterate billiard players have heard dozens of them. But you both tend to 'skip over' all the quality posters !...I could really care less, if you/he choose to ignore them !......And I'm sorry, but unlike SOME people, I have rarely felt the need to post them myself ! (my "close friend's" seem to do it for me. ;))

PS.Trust me Bunter, there has ALREADY been a consensus decision! Mr3IQ, just refuses to admit it !

Yeah, you're a legend in your own mind. Don't tell anybody about your history Dick, you may still get that 4 figure advance for your autobiography!! Is it true you were a lamb killer, or did you play with the big boys, (those RA stories are getting old). I heard you played Fats......what did he spot you again??

I thought we had gotten our business straight Bunter ?...I have no desire to communicate, with someone who cannot even afford a copy of SMAS or WOP !.. Therein, you will find several (third party) stories, regarding myself, Fats, Kelly, Jersey Rd, RA, and several others !...Could you please turn the 'full time, idiotic harrassing', back over to the OTHER guy who can't read, write, or comprehend either ? (you are screwing up, more than he does)...

Thank You...SJD

I'm surprised to have not heard his name before this forum....did he really play Fats?

I doubt that match ever happened.
All I ever heard that loudmouth Fats do was beg for a spot.
He was blowing off in the Cushion & Cue on Forsyth St. in Atlanta once, and Don Watson finally couldn't stand it anymore and Don was a very mild tempered guy too.
Don wasn't a big hitting one-pocket player but he yelled at Fats...."you got a ball in that one pocket, now get up here"
Fats looked like his hands were super glued to the chair....he didn't budge.
Then Billy Johnson offered him the 8 and the snaps in 9ball and Fats got even lower in the chair.
He woulda' probably wanted 8-5 from this SJD person. Just my opinion and nothing more.

Flash, have YOU ever seen SJD play in person?

Fats laid down more traps than a 'Mountain Man,' after about 15 minutes Fatty would have SJD foaming at the mouth and embarrassed to the point where he might give Him 8/5! Obviously the intention! There aren't many if any at all still around that know how to really lay down, REAL 'Lemon Pool!' It's a lost art for sure, Fats was one of the Best, just like when He robbed Richie Florence!

No Flash, I didn't have to give up 8/5, but there was a couple balls involved !..If Bunter, Mr3IQ, & CJ could only read, it is all there for them in SMAS, verified by Jersey Red! (who was there)..... Let them hunt for it, they just might learn a few more things !

SJD

PS..Surely CJ can afford a copy ?...Maybe he could hire someone, to 'read it' to him ! ;)

Some things never change..

Well, I see another Bensinger alumni, has bit the dust !...Too bad, I like Gentile's game, and I thought he had a chance against Smith...He probably just couldn't overcome his MAIN shortcoming...He's from Chicago ! ;)

I almost forgot, that Danny D was in Phoenix around the same time Mexican Johnny was. I'll have to give Danny a call later and get his take on Johnnie's game and how He faired there.

BTW, I'll be there for my 70'th in June, to see my son, maybe I'll find you lurking, slobbering and tugging on some young 'bar flies!"

As usual, YOU know NOT what you speak of!

Chris wasn't even born when, 'Bensingers' closed, I'm not sure why Chris didn't win, I'll find out today. He still gambles and bets MORE money of HIS OWN than ANY player in the state of AZ!

Congrats to Danny, for a GREAT win! I wouldn't expect anything less from a player with the last name of, 'Smith!'

There's a guy in FL when in his prime there might not of been 5 guys that could beat him playing one pocket. He's about 37 now. Have you ever heard of guy like that from FL?

How is today's equipment more difficult? I agree on your point about Efren but believe it is because the equipment is better than years ago.

I'm not an old fart, but I think the competition was far tougher in the golden years. Everyone played pool. There were more shortstops hanging around for action. The semi-pro and/or hustlers were every where. The money was good, the pro's had real tourneys to play in, they could actually make a living.

Money inspires folks to play well. Inspires folks to decide to compete in the game. Willie just refused to miss a shot... and it was not like he was using the entire pocket when he shot, most of them were going right down the middle.

Not much has changed, cues are pretty much the same (except for LD shafts) I mean, really, the tables are tighter and built better, but there is better cloth, better cushions, better tips, MUCH better chalk, better humidity control in buildings, better balls, and all those things help todays players, they do NOT hinder their play.

Thanks for the warning...

Thanks for the warning !..If there was anybody in the world, I could live without meeting, it would be YOU !..Unless of course, you want to play ANY game on a pool table. (for over $10.00) Yes, please see if you can find out how Mex Johnny "faired" (which BTW, is spelled "fared") in Phx !..If you can get anyone to say he left with any money, (either time) you will be getting BAD info ! ..Which has always been your favorite kind !:rotflmao1:

Johnny hustled the bars, and the shortstops, real hard !.. But as soon as he got pumped up, he would deposit it all in the 'Bank of SJD', playing 1P on both pool and snooker tables..(he wouldn't play golf, even with considerable weight offers)..He finally smartened up, after his second trip here! ;)

SJD

PS..For the 3rd time..there is cash wagering available, which I'm sure you will ignore AGAIN  :sorry:

Tomorrow is Danny D's birthday, I'll be talking to him. To my knowledge and MANY players, Danny's NOT one to tell an untruth! I'll ask of MJ vs SJD, I have a feeling you two NEVER even played. but, Danny's word is good enough for me, just like Billy's is! Remember!

BTW, In Johnston City around the mid 60's, I believe it was the year Wimpy beat Worst playing 9 ball. Artie was there with Mexican Johnny, He told ANYONE there, that includes, RA, Jersey Red, Boston Shorty, Beanie, Cornbread, Marvin Henderson, Joey Spathe, ALL the players they could play Johnny giving him just a ball playing ANY game, 9 ball, Banks and one pocket for what ever they want! there were NO takers!

P.S. I'm real curious, who was staking Johnny when you say you played him in AZ. Also, what game, or games did you play, and for how much?

Trouble reading again, huh ? Let me itemize my answers, to simplify things for you ! :sorry:

Paragraph 1--Remember what ???

Para. 2--So what ?...Thats nothing new, they were ALWAYS begging for weight ! :o

Para. 3--I rarely ask for stakehorse's ID ?..When I see a fake Rolex on their wrist, I know they are a sucker from Chicago ! :p (all I need to see, is the $$$$)

Para. 3 1/2--I answered that question in my last post !..Do you know how to 'scroll back' ? ...Well, lets see.. Once we played for $1.75..But then we jacked it to $2.00 per game !...What a stupid question, but then, that is the first question a newbie, banger usually asks ! :rotflmao1:

And, what a surprise...You ignored my offer for a cash wager (with proof) AGAIN !
