Scott Gracio I want my cue or money back now.

I'm so tired of reading about these scumbags. Wheat. Varney. Stroud. Etc, etc.

People can make up all the excuses they want for this guy. He belongs in jail. His actions today are a direct reflection on his mother and how she raised him. I wonder how he would feel if his mother could see him now? Cowering in a corner, like the thief he is, ashamed that everyone knows that he was never taught that lying and stealing from people is bad. You know what they say about the apple........

An apple a day keeps the Dr. away.
Newtons theory of gravity.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Ah, I know. Someone should teach Scott how to bob for apples in a large tub of water.

I would replace "Wheat, Varney, Stroud" with Zinzola, Pepper, Wadsworth.

Dropping all of these names (and there are more) makes me wonder how much $$$ in total the AZ community has been bilked out of in the last few years.
Don't forget hangemhigh, and although he is not a cuemaker, he deserves to be mentioned when discussing con-men on AZ.

do i hear a new thread being typed?

Blues, I don't know much about Lee other than he did have legitimate health problems at the end. He may have messed up but not sure if he did it on purpose.

If it weren't for that, I think he would have still been in the shop. He did build a nice cue and I have had a couple of good dealings with him. Had one problem but he took care of it promptly.

As for Mr. Perfect, Wadsworth, that was also a head scratcher. But as was suggested, he may have had some health issues as well, but he did take money and make promises that were not kept so that just adds him to the lot.

I guess you never know.

As a friend used to say re people and human nature. No one is like that until they are like that.

And don't forget that repairman, slash wannabe cue maker. He collected money, cues and other items to raffle at a pool tourney for his hospital stay.

He ripped Basil for a couple of lathes plus one member on the sale of one lathe that was never sent.

I was in contact with a couple of his relatives and found out that he had his operation for free as he qualified for a fund that was put in place at the hospital for that purpose.

Boy, did I ever get a blast from his daughter on Face Book from that one. She was an illiterate little piece of trailer trash just like her Father.

B.H. Rider-I understand the human side of this biz pretty well, and I've had several situations that could of gone public but I covered them up.
People might be shocked if they only knew, but I understand that everybody makes mistakes, people get sick, and guys are broke, I get it.
Honest people wouldn't get into deals knowing they can't deliver.
I know a member here that knew he was going to have 6-months of chemo, didn't tell the world about it, but when he listed a bunch of his cues he included a purchasing deadline while he could still make his shipments.
From what I can tell about Lee Pepper, he was deep into this raffle thing, and must of lost a chunk of income when the raffles went away, so he made up for it by not delivering the raffle cues and others.
I think he got greedy, same with Zinzola, and it was obviously easier just to blow everybody off.
Wadsworth may of been legitimately sick, but all of the guys mentioned took hard earned money from people knowing they weren't going to deliver.
Most people would have a hard time even putting themselves in their shoes, and most people would pay it back.
At some point these guys had to know, and little or no attempt has been made to pay anything back.
Maybe Zinzola did a little payback under duress, but I think we are talking about con-men or at least serial deadbeats.

Thats a small victory for you Sam. Now lets hope he gets you straight. Maybe he will learn that bad business doesn't pay in the long run.

I heard from Gracio today. He seems angry at me.

Well direct him to his own web page where he assures you he'll be in constant contact throughout the build & that in his words "you'll never feel forgotten". :)

Why am I the Colonel? Because I always get the chicken

Typically people aren't very happy when they get called out about a cue deal on AZ.
From my experience they aren't real happy when you do it in person or on the phone either.
Therefore, with 47-years of experience dealing with poolplayers, I am available for counseling in these situations.
Sometimes cuemakers just need someone who will listen to them, and I also have a weekly group session if anyone is interested.

Really, I bet if the right people showed at his door step, they could make him Pee Pee his pantaloons.

Blues, you are right as I forgot about what happened when Lee's raffles went sideways on him, or the people that sent him money be be exact.

Let's see if I can figure out how this conversation went...

"Dude, I've been sick / my mom's in the hospital / my grandma broke her hip and I have to take care of her / I had a fall and ended up with temporary amnesia. I was going to call you back / email you back / send you a smoke signal as soon as things calmed down, but you went and started all that sh*t on AZB. On top of that, my lathe broke / my house caught fire / my wife kicked me out and I'm homeless now and I couldn't get to making your cue. I was going to refund you the money, but when I sent that email to the wrong address and you didn't respond in 12 minutes, I assumed that you were OK with it. Why you gotta be a dick about stuff on the forums man? I didn't do anything wrong to you!"
