I said to you on your very first thread here.....and I think it more true now... you really are playboy arent you ???

I am playboy,kamakiriad,fastlarry,larrythecableguy,jam,scooby-doo,shaggy,........don't be ridiculous smoke ......I just woke up and read this thread(just like you) and offered my opinion(just like you). For all I know, you could be playboy .

Rest assured, there is only one Walt Frazier .I don't have a million personalities, besides I don't think that guy(playboy) would have even wanted to stay here by the way he reacted .He went waaaaaay too far ..

Btw,is there a western union close by? That's the way we will do our deal smoke.

I posted in this thread MONTHS ago.....thats why the vid about the bridge rang a bell ..... I did not just read it...

this thread was on the board days before you joined..days after playboy was banned...... either way.. I am not going any furhter into a argument about what your question to VIP was stooooopid..... nevermind....

It's just too bad that a poster was banned partially because of your ignorance ..

Ask yourself this ..If "Playboy" was still with us,would you be a man and apologize to him personally?

Walt, I seldom admonish anyone publicly, but you are barking up the wrong tree. Either you ARE PLAYBOY, or you are having some reading comprehension problems OR you are simply scanning these posts and threads, not really reading all of the content. Either way, VIP is one of AZ's finest and he has proven it post after post even if he doesn't always agree with my perspective AND THAT'S NO JOKE.

You say, you don't start any s**t but here you are jumping on VIP, trying to make it seem like VIP is responsible for Playboy's banning.

Playboy brought it on himself, plain and simple. Banning is never about one poor post or even one bad post. It is about a pattern of poor forum etiquette. Please don't fall into that trap. Do your due diligence. Read the post or threads twice if necessary, then make your opinion known and let the chips fall where they may.

VIP has proven himself a stand up guy more than once and doesn't deserve your accusations and venom.

Now go back and read all of the posts twice and see if you can be man enough to apologize to VIP.

Hemi, thanks for the info......How the hell many Huey P Long bridges are there any way???

and here I was thinking that I found something neat.....

You did find something neat. However Huey P danged near built the Louisiana highway system. It seems like half the bridges in the state were built during his administration or that of OK Allen who followed him and got credit for some of the work. Bunches of bridges bear Huey's name or no name but a plate saying "Built Under the Administration of Huey P Long" or something similar so they all get at least nicknamed Huey P's.

Huey ran the state like his personal property. He did a lot of great things as well as a few not so great things. One funny story, he got a speeding ticket in Pineville Louisiana. When Highway 1 was laid out to go from the bottom to the top of Louisiana it took a hard left right before Pineville, courtesy of Huey P. He was one to hold a grudge!

I have all the respect in the world for VIP .And if my using the word"ignorance" offended anyone I apologize .But that's what it was ..No harm,no foul .

Ignorance means not knowing Joey .

VIP and Russ both did'nt know that Scotty in fact did the type of things that playboy described .I'm not dissing VIP.Don't start that Joey .

We all are ignorant of things .don't be ridiculous .

In his 4-year term as Governor, Long increased the mileage of paved highways in Louisiana from 331 to 2,301, plus an additional 2,816 miles of gravel roads. By 1936, the infrastructure program begun by Long had completed some 9,000 miles of new roads, doubling the State's road system. He built 111 bridges, and started construction on the first bridge over the lower Mississippi, the Huey P. Long Bridge in Jefferson Parish, near New Orleans. He built the new Louisiana State Capitol, at the time the tallest building in the South. All of these construction projects provided thousands of much-needed jobs during the Great Depression.

The life of Long continued to be of interest long after his death, giving rise to the Pulitzer Prize-winning biography Huey Long by T. Harry Williams in 1970.

Two bridges crossing the Mississippi River are named for Long: Huey P. Long Bridge (Baton Rouge) and Huey P. Long Bridge (Jefferson Parish).

That Huey Long fellow is a very interesting person! :p

the man who would have been king

Interesting is the word for Huey and he is still loved by most of the few remaining old timers today, particularly those that were poor. There is an excellent chance that he would have been president had he not been assassinated. That would have been a source of great pride for Louisiana but if you study Huey very closely you find a very dark side. It is very unlikely that the United States as we know it would have survived a Huey P presidency. He claimed every man a king but he saw himself as an emperor.

I find it amazing that this thread was not pulled for language. I started one recently that had no where near the language this one has and it was pulled. I don't have a problem with language at all but apparently enough people complained to have it pulled. I was just trying to warn people of a con-artist. Oh well. This one was entertaining.

sorry i dont think so. dude got attacked for no reason. some a$$ half a world away wanted to be uncle fester and cause trouble and did. where i come from russ woulda got cracked for tellin him how to ask a question, just 2 cents worth

Heres something to think about, What if Scotty would of been burdened with having a temper like playboy. The guy in the bar wouldn't of liked it. I think Jay summed it up perfectly in #167 As far as Russ is cocerned ,he played himself out of position and took a bad shot, but he certainly didn't deserve to lose the match.Lets rerack and play another game.

Here is a great scotty townsend story that i heard from a reliable source and suppose only scotty can tell if it true. here go's

Scotty and his wife or girlfriend ( not sure the timeframe of this but at least 12 years ago) go to the pharmacy and by some gauze and bandages.
She tapes up scottys hands and scottys face so that you cant see him and also his hands are covered but he can make an open bridge.
They do this because they are going to a local watering hole where scotty is known and they like to gamble on pool there but of course no one will play him.
They go in his wife or gf gets him in a 20 dollar 8 ball game. Scotty of course is still beating this guy but the guy starts to get suspcious. Now scotty is not talking either in risk of someone knowing its him by his voice. The guy is losing everygame and talking with his buddy and saying " damn that stroke looks familiar and this guys plays like scotty townsend" At this point scotty runs out again and goes to the guy and mumble " mmmuhhmm uuumhh " and the guys says " what do you say" and at that point his wife or gf says " he said bet 40" lol

Now is that sound like scotty or what lol ,

One of the things to remember about this whole thing...Russ changed his first post... it isnt the one on this thread now... It was rough..real rough... I woulda snapped back at russ for that crap...the thing is nobody saw it, so this guy had the whole forum raining down on him with nowhere to go... He did get out of line and did deserve to be booted..but there is more to it than meets the eye...

Gay Z......I still laugh at that line......

Boy, I am glad I didn't recieve any hell for my first thread. While it didn't really even get off the ground, I was looking for a little humor out of it! I just come on here mostly to read what looks interesting. I know that this forum is good for info and advice, but isn't it for fun too? I may be new here, but I feel I have to watch my step now. That sucks because a lot of the fun stuff in the pool room is the sh!t talkin'! Oh well, I'll just keep reading...
