Seaglass505 shafted me. Buyer's beware! - Advised by ToomnyQs to re-post it here

"Shafted me" is a helluva pun

Glad to see things working out. However, I wish people
were a little more hesitant to post an open indictment.
Unfortunately people get screwed all the time. When it
happens, it is so easy to jump on AZBilliards and post in
a fit of rage. I am not saying that is the case here, but
I do think this particular issue could have been resolved
without this thread. Giving someone the benefit of the
doubt is a touchy subject especially when it comes to
trades. There are also two sides to every story. Issues
can go unresolved simply because of the tone of the initial
complaint. Whatever the case, the fact is seaglass505's
reputation has been irreparably called into question.
Perhaps rightfully so, but for me, I don't think he would
send you that cue if he had intentions of ripping you off.
This will not deter me from doing any business with
either of you, but it makes me just that much more uneasy
about trading anything with anyone.

How long would you have him wait? If this thread hadn't been posted would the cue have been shipped?

There's any number of things I would have done
differently, but that's not really relevant. I have
dealt with my share of cons online and one thing
is constant: threads like this do not phase them.

Seemed to work here. No communication for weeks about the missing shafts/cue. Once this thread was started the cue appears to have been shipped within a couple days.

My honest opinion is these threads benefit everybody. They are a reminder that if you do not live up to your end of the bargain a thread will be created that lets everybody know.

Sure it damaged the guys rep but assuming we know a accurate version of the story, which I see no reason to believe otherwise, his rep should be tarnished.

I'm glad he is trying to even things out. It just still doesn't sit well with me though ... If you agree on a deal and don't hold up your end by shipping the agreed cues, shafts etc. then sell the cue your received knowing you shipped different items than agreed upon... Just isn't right. the OP may not want the other cues or whatever now how little choice but to cut his losses and take what he can get since his cue has been sold.
IMO this is just shady from the start . If I agree to trade a cue for another that is the deal. Changes must be agreed upon by both parties one party should never be able to dictate the trade.
Either way at least with this thread had applied some pressure to make this deal some what right..

So let me understand this correctly. You didn't know who seaglass505 was till this thread was started by the OP. Then a couple people who he tried to deal with and the deals fall through after the sellers backed out because something didn't seem right. The OP who has definitely been ripped off and like magic this guy comes out of hiding trying defend himself and says he's going to make it right AFTER this thread was started. After all this has been said, you would still deal with him? Am i missing something here? I thank the OP for outting this con artist. Seaglass505 sounds like a car salesman when he talks/texts non-stop and that's the classic sign of a ripoff artist. Don't know about you but I wouldn't make a deal with him ever. If even after reading all this, you'd be willing to deal with him, good luck with that. Common sense says to stay away from this guy......

He wants his Cue

I have had enough Of the bad mouthing. I have been on az since January and have always treated people fair and respectful As far as the person that gave me a negative response I sent you 3 cues and a jump cue 6 shafts all joss for one Meucci And now other people are chiming in giving me a bad name. I could call so many people out on here it's not funny Tell you what look at my recent posting where I gave a case away And to the person with the so called back deal I will send you something of greater value then what you originally sent me. And keep all that I've send you. I don't anyone giving anything away on this site. Except negative criticism. as far as the gentleman with the George cue I offered paypal , personal check , and credit card per last conversation Bunch of back stabbers the lot of you. Can't play pool , have dementia . And nothing better to do with your time then rat like school girls. Grow up I have always been fair and upstanding and always try to make things right. So Mr. Colter I have your address and I will send you a brand new cue with absolutely no charge an obligation. Let's see who else will do that. Put your money where your mouth is. I will no longer discuss this matter.

Give him his Cue. That can't be hard to understand. No one cares about what you sent. He is not satisfied. Man up.
Good luck,
Nick :)

yeah, yeah whatever.......

All you sent to the OP was fire wood and the only way to defend yourself is to bark a little and call people names. I wouldn't know squat about you till you ripped him off. Do everyone a favor and crawl back under that rock you came from and leave this forum. There's good people here just trying to do a little business in this shitty economy and have a little fun.....

I agree with you Jonas.. So now Cotter has a cue he didn't want or ask for.. Oh, and what is he supposed to do with the Joss butts he has with no shafts? So he put a Band-Aid on a gaping wound.. At the very least he should also send him all of the shafts he promised for the Joss butts or did he sell those too.. One of the 3 cues he sent was not part of the deal but he is supposed to just accept that.. Bottom line here is the deal should have been reversed but since that's not possible, he should do whatever it takes to make Cotter happy.. Period!

cliffs notes version

1. Make sure your customer is happy when they receive the item(s), especially before getting rid of their end of the trade.

2. Communication is always key.

Seems rather elementary really.

car salesman, LMFAOROTF, where's the like button? I had that same feeling when he was bumping like crazy. A few short months and has already rubbed people wrong one way or another. Has anybody had any good experiences with this guy?

Just sharing my experience....he had a cue I was interested in; we agreed on a price and he shipped just as he said. The cue arrived as described and there were no issues. Prior to closing the deal; he did send me an email explaining who he was and gave me an overview of his pool history. It was a different style but nothing that raised any concerns.

I was happy with the deal and cue.

Bens cues

My concern here, had a phone conversation with Mark who introduced me to Ben Greene, who finished a cue the way I desired and shipped item as described.
I hope you all won't shy away from Bens Cues because of this. Nice playing cue at a great price!! David

Damn. You guys keep knocking my profession. Lol. I sell cars. I work for Hyundai. I don't have any bad deals. The fact that he sold cars isn't why this deal went south. It's because he himself is shady.

Your right it's the individual, not his profession..

MOST people that knock the Auto industry have no clue..
I spent over 15 years as a Sales manager (desk guy) working for reputable
dealer groups that believe in doing good business..
