JUST TO CLEAR THIS UP......

HE WANTED YOU TO GO LOOK AT THE CUES, AND TO VERIFY THAT THEY WERE WHAT THE SELLER SAID THEY WERE.

Home Run Alright!!!

Guys, I had a chance a while back to pull the same BIN trigger on the $2500 Gus that was on eBay. But, I decided to call my very wise friend Adam aka Ribdonor. That took 2 minutes, in that 2 minutes my good friend Tate did hit the BIN. To this day, Tate and I can get a good laugh (well at least he can) most of the time I just get sick thinking about it. Anyway, the moral of the story is, sometimes it's good to "Shoot from the Hip" Lesson learned the hard way.
For all of you who care, the auctions were legit, just mixed up the pictures and knew nothing about cues. He was hired to sell them for the owner. Long story short, I feel so much better now.
Later,
Greg

BE SMART WITH WHAT YOU DO HERE....DON'T TAKE ANYBODYS WORD UNTIL THE DEAL IS FULLY DONE, AND YOU HAVE YOUR END. SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO WORRY MORE ABOUT YOU, AND LESS ABOUT PEOPLES FEELINGS.

IF YOU WANT, GIVE ME A CALL. I'LL EXPLAIN MORE.

Why not just have them take the cue to searing's shop? It's just down the road and nobody better to identify the cue than Dennis himself.

I emailed the seller since every one of these cues has been relisted, except the Searing, without a BIN price. I "scolded" them for not committing to sell at the BIN prices, as they should have researched a little before listing them. They stated that they "followed through" to the ones who paid, and relisted the rest. I guess the only person who paid was the person buying the Searing. The new listings show the correct cues. Still don't know what the Searing looked like. Also, I was also on Greg's side with this and hesitated because of the pictures. I too, will regret it.

Greg,
The Szam you spoke of was the one I mentioned in a previous post. Didn't put Tate's name in mine, but it was the same one.

Scott,

Did they give you a number to reach to them? Wonder what happened to the guy that bid on the McDaniel...this time..it looks more legit but make me wonder what happened in the previous auctions. If they are legit..I would imagine some of us will be biding by now. LOL.

Regards,
Duc.

No, I did not receive any phone number, but received several emails from the seller. When I "scolded" them, I stated that if it were the case that they backed out of the deals because they didn't know the value of the cues they had, I wished the people using buy it now would sue to make the deal go through. Here is their response, and mine, until we quite corresponding.

"I sold the buy-it-now cues to the people that paid. I did not cheat anyone. Those people who purchased did not complain, so why are you ?
I would not jeopardize my standing with ebay to cheat anyone.
Thank you,
Mitchel10

My response:
If that is the case I apologize. I just thought it really strange that every cue listed with the exception of the Searing were listed again without buy it now prices.

His response:
Apology accepted. I am the sales agent for the owner of these (estate sale)

Mine back:
By the way, the interest I have in your auction was ignored. I sent you an email through ebay before any of yoru cues sold explaining that I believed you had made mistakes in the listings related to the pictures and that I would purchase the Searing if it was actually a Searing. I never received a response. I would likely have bought the Mottey as well.

I have yet to receive any correspondence since. I am not trying to get him to sell me anything, but an frustrated when sellers back out of a deal because they realize later they can make more money.

NOT SAYING THIS OF YOU, BUT.......

SELLERS ARE ALSO TIRED OF BUYERS COMMITING, AND THEN BACKING OUT.

NOW ON TO WHAT YOU SAID...... IF HE HAD NO PAYMENT FOR THE CUES, HE DOESN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING. WHY SHOULD HE NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO RE-LIST? JUST BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T GET THE "SCORE" YOU WERE LOOKING FOR, DOESN'T MEAN HE WAS IN THE WRONG. NOW, HAD YOU PAID HIM, AND THEN HE BACKED OUT. THAT WOULD BE A DIFFERENT STORY.

That was my point Marcus. All but the Searing were relisted within 24 hours. I agree with what you said. if a buyer doesn't pay, go on and relist. Maybe I jumped the gun. It was just really strange timing on his part, combined with inaccurate pictures, ...... .

yea im not so sure that 24 hours is a long enough period to wait for some of the cues that were relisted considering someone might have the 3.5k to buy that mcdaniel but would need a few days to get the funds in order first. but i guess he just sold it if the person paid right away, if not then they go up for auction again.

THE BIN BUTTONS WERE NOT USED ON THE OTHER AUCTIONS.

THE SELLER HAS NO CUE KNOWLEDGE, THAT'S WHY THE LISTINGS WERE ALL MIXED UP.
