A little harsh

You should be shot for using the Searing name to sell your cues :frown:.

Not impressed............TommyT

While I agree that marketing your cues as tribute cues can be flattering for some, my personal thoughts are that new cuemakers should work on making a name for themselves without having to utilize other cuemakers names to market their goodies.

You show great talent and from what I have seen your work looks clean. Why not try to make your cues standout as simply yours?

Rgs,

SS

I've actualy spoke with Dennis and he said thank you for giving him credit, I'm not using his name to sell anything, and Dennis himself expressed how nice it was. You should be shot for say something so tasteless, how dare you say something like that to anyone. Why don't you crawl off in a corner and die you f*cking trolls.

If any cue maker on earth can make a Southwest style cue, or a Szamboti style cue and never give one iota of credit to anyone, and not get any flak for it, why would you say something about one of my cues. I was paying credit to a design, not any ones cuemaking style.

Why don't you pm Dennis and see how he feels about this.

What is your Idea of a new cuemaker? We've been building cue's for 8+ years. Like I stated, I don't know why all the Sw copies or Szam. copies don't get any flak? Funny thing is I only post because some of my customers think me showing cues here is a good Idea. Ah, yeah. Sure.

don't forget bushka style. . .
i like it mr fisher!
can see why dennis would be flattered as well! :thumbup2:

I think i have seen countless number of southwest tribute cues seen here and by great cuemakers. Also balabushka and szamboti style cues.

I think there is no shame in making a searing tribute cue.The cue looks quiet nice and craftmanship looks top notch.I think Bryan should be proud of the kind of cues he has been making lately.

And i dont undertstand how much he would earn by selling one tribute cue.It is just his love and respect for the great cuemaker.

Chill out guys and enjoy his cues.

Way to go Bryan

The difference between a SW or Szamboti tribute cue and what you call a Searing tribute cue is that the former mentioned cues have a unique style that would be recognized. I see nothing about your Searing tribute other than the name that would connect it to Dennis.
It looks like a great cue and the BEM is killer, but when I see it I don't think of Searings.
FWIW...............TommyT

I am not going to get into the what is a "new cuemaker, what is considered a tribute cue, what is copying, etc..." These topics have been discussed and opinions vary.

I still think you should venture out and make your cues speak for themselves without the aid of the names of other cuemakers. I'm glad you spoke with Dennis about this cue, maybe a comment about that would have eased the harsh comments.

I don't know why everyone has been on Fisher's ass here lately but it is a little much if you ask me.

He did this, and was branded as copying a Sugartree, and he never mentioned Eric or Sugartree cues.

He has made a South West style cue; but then again, who hasn't. Every cue maker out there has done a Bushka or Boti tribute. So, whats so wrong with Fisher doing it? The man even stated he contacted Dennis and moved forward with his blessing.

I think the cue is a beauty and that forearm is nutts. Great work Fisher, keep it up.

Bryan,

Nice cue. Great wood. If you're willing to part with some of that Maple I would built a Bryan Fisher tribute cue and a small statue of you to decorate my fountain and remind me that you just can't please all the people all the time. :)

It gets a little old with the trolls doesn't it Bryan?! Regardless of what people think you don't need to say sh*t like that to anyone. Bryan your cues seem to be getting better and better, keep up the good work. Do we need to start a troll list on AZ like America's most wanted lol? F*ck it, I think I am going to start one in the main forum thread.

Bryan...again....Lovely cue....I think that is an amazing cue....The SHOT comment was totally uncalled for and I HAD to send red rep for that....that was just a stupid remark

Nice cue though!
