Seriously? Darren just won the Challenge of Champions? Wow that's nuts. Is it still 50k to the winner?

No, I did not see it.
Congratulations to Darren Appleton.

I just now dug this story above out of the archives. I guess some tournaments don't get advertised that much. Maybe I am just not paying enough attention.

Was it Live-streamed or televised? Was there U.S. coverage or was the television coverage just international?

Thanks for letting us know about this.

Darren is playing some awesome pool. I'm not trying to take anything away from Darren by diluting this thread with the following comment because I believe it may be true. Darren looks like he is ready to mix it up with Shane, playing 10 ball. That would be quite a TAR match.

Actually the best player to endorse the SEE-system would ofcourse be Huidji SEE.. :)

Man, See dogged the hell out of the 4-5 progression in the single game final!! Not sure he had room to make the 4 with any speed, but the position he got on the 5 was horrid.

Then he shot the 5 right into the rail. Ow. I know just how it feels.

Did anybody notice the sound of the howling (Mohegan Sun) wolf in the background? That was dam hi-larious.

Yes, I just finished watching the match last night.

And Allen Hopkins is the worst match commentator, ever.

Anyone who has ever choked would appreciate that sudden death rack. Huidji See made a fantastic jump shot to seemingly be ready to close it out. Once all the trouble was over all he had to do was draw the cue ball back an inch or two on a straight in 3 ball in the side from about two feet away to be perfect on the four. He tensed up and practically stopped the cue ball and left it almost blocked by the five so he had to baby the four in the corner. Then came his miss on the five which although not the shot he would like to have had was not all that tough. Your average B player could make it ten times in a row drilling. If he was just coming to the table with that five ball shot he would have been ecstatic. I felt bad for him. Especially with winner take all.

Hudji still needs seasoning.

I SEE Darren is the man to beat right now!

Really? Then why doesn't he take all of his money and go get his money back from the guy he lost to in Florida a couple of years ago. Can't remember his name - anybody remember?

Or do you think that is beneath him now?

I wouldn't say revenge is 'beneath him', but is does seem to be pretty clear that his focus is on the big-stage tournies.
