Are there clear practice cue balls for sale with reference markings to aid seeing CP on the hidden side of the ball?

If they do make a clear CB it is likely polyester resin and I would quite strongly suspect it would play differently than a white, phenolic CB. Clear phenolics IIRC are not easy to manufacture (they would probably have a yellowish cast to them) but in this day and age that may have changed. If any company wanted to make a phenolic one, Saluc would be in the best position to do so. That's about all I can say.

That's what I was thinking. It's basically a big lens. Anything you could see would be distorted and not of any use as a training aid.

They do make clear pool balls. I am sure you can find them on Google. They are however much lighter. The numbers are embedded in the center of the balls on a ribbon.

We had a set and used to use them as a gaffe set for our weekly runout-for-the-jackpot contest when I owned a pool room in Germany. No one could run out with them because they reacted so differently than regular weight balls.

Lambros has a clear CB. I'm pretty sure he made it. I think the idea was to shoot a laser through it.
