Sellers, be careful of dealings with jekka....

The guy who made this thread is ridiculous. You shouldn't slander a persons reputation because they decided to buy elsewhere. You didn't meet the buyers expecation in regards to communication. Whether you agree with this or not isn't relevant. He didn't steal from you. He didn't rip you off. He didn't lie to you.

You absolutely owe Jekka a apology!

Grabbing my popcorn for this one.

I had a shipment sent to the netherlands, i believe cant recall exactly, but buyer said to put insurance at x I told him I will do this but I will not be responsible I will do examination and everything give him notes but it is out of my hands when it arrives. So we went through with it, he payed paypal I shipped at a declared value like 1/5 the cost and he recieved said it was just as I described and avoided the taxes.
IF he wants to avoid the taxes, once you recieve payment there is NO return policy, atleast in dealing with me because I do not push the truth I tell the truth in my dealings.

Nope, not going to happen. I didnt slander his reputation (look it up, it means an oral untruth told about someone). I did not say a single untruthful thing about him. What I did do was try to explain exactly what occurred so that fellow sellers could make up their minds for themselves as to deal with him or not, BECAUSE he DID NOT HAVE A REPUTATION as far as the AZ community is concerned. Your Itrader (he didnt have any) and your posts (at the time he had 3, I know this because he didnt have any itrader feedback and I wanted to see if there was any indication as to his character), are your reputation on here. We have itrader to try our best to protect one another from things..

Your also incorrect in assuming I was doing this because he decided to buy elsewhere. For your information, this is the SECOND time he showed interest in buying this cue. The first go round had a few exchanged messages, and then he informed me that he decided to purchase off of another AZ'er (he really was looking for a P3 Black, and mine is an Exotic). Not a big deal whatsoever in my mind, wished him luck and went about my business. I didnt think twice about it, happens all the time and people are free to decide whatever they want to. I would NEVER hold that against someone, that's just ridiculous to even say that :scratchhead:
I wasnt going to post the whole exchange on here, but maybe it is necessary. This is after he came back to me the second time to buy the cue I had for sale (I am leaving out names and a few other personal things):

Hi,
The P3 Exotic is in absolute perfect condition. It is brand new, dead straight, both the butt and either shaft I have for it (I have a 314-2 and a Z2 to choose from). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. I have a new set of Predator Logo Joint Protectors for it for $10. I do ship overseas all the time, shipping is additional depending on where it is going, but since I am offering free shipping to the US, I can credit the first $15 towards the shipping costs. Paypal is the preferred method for payment..

Thanks,
Rain-Man

Hi )
I have some scruples about the deal I told you, because the seller said that the shaft is lightly used, while I thought the cue is brand new...
In such way I have a few questions for you if you don't mind
Is it possible to insure the cue in amount of 200$ in shipping declaration for no extra custom fees for me?
How you pack the cue before shipping? Is it secure?
As you are a Predator dealer, maybe you have a weight cartridge kit for sale?) I'm also interested in Predator chalk.
Sorry for bothering you, but I'm really interested in buying a good brand new never chalked player ))

Best regards,
Eugene

(Rain-Man)
Hi,
I can insure the cue for $200, no problem. I ship overseas everyday, and have NEVER had a problem, not even once. I ship USPS Priority International, in their triangle boxes. I use a thick round cardboard shipping tube with the outside of it wrapped in bubble wrap, so it fits in the triangle box snugly, so it doesn't wobble around in it. The cue will also come in the 2 pocket black Predator sleeve that comes with Predator cues. I also individually wrap the butt and shaft before putting them back in the sleeve, then wrap that before putting it in the round tube. It will take you a good 10 minutes just to unwrap the package when you receive it It is very very secure.

I also have Predator chalk in stock (just received our new shipment yesterday, we were out for a few days). It is $10.50 for a tube of 5 pieces.. I do not have any of the weight kits for sale. I have one, but I use it everyday and cannot sell it. We have them on back order with Predator, but we have been waiting for months now for them and still have no idea when they will be in..

(jekka, overnight last night)
P.S. I find your post about G2 tips. Are they better than Moori? Maybe I should buy one of them instead to try it?)
Are there any news about shipping costs to Ukraine?
Thx

(Rain-Man, earlier today)
Hi,
The G2 tips are really really good. They remind me of Morri's, but with more grip to them. I put a G2 Hard on my playing shaft (Predator 314-2), and it plays really good (I still prefer Black Kamui's, but the G2's are now my second favorite tips)..
The shipping to Ukraine is almost $48, but I was offering free shipping to the US, which is about $15, so I can deduct that $15 from the $48. It would then only be $33.

(jekka, this afternoon)
Dear Rain-Man!
I was suprised by your reaction on my PM, that I sent you yesterday. I offered you a 700+ dollars deal and I was ready to send the money, but you simply wrote me nothing...Though you were online for many times and I saw it and waited for the answer. I sent you 2 more PM, but the reaction was the same. I have a big doubt, that you inquired the shipping fees all that time, because I also work in a trade company and it would take me 1 phone call to solve such a problem.
They say when you want to sell something, you sell not the item, but your attitude to the client. In that particular case your attitude didn't satisfy me )
I wish you well and best of luck in your future deals

P.S. I found a new black P3 with weight kit. And the seller sent me the invoice in 10 minutes )

So, you tell me? Does it look like I did anything wrong here, and gave this person a bad attitude?? Then to have him verbally scold me , and THEN to try and throw water in my face by saying in the P.S. he found another one and was sent an invoice within 10 mins (nah nah, na nah nah :nanner:)

I think most people would be ticked off too...

He never did anything wrong. He found another person to buy a P3 from and you make a thread telling people to be careful. For my money I am going to be careful around you. I don't want to have shit like this posted if I decide to buy from another person.

I sent a Schon to someone in London that was worth about $1000.
The buyer told me to only insure it for $100, and the entire transaction worked out great.
I let the buyer make the decisions on shipping , value, method, etc, and I didn't take it as a scam, he just knew what he was doing.

No exactly...but what he said it's pretty true! No offence rain-man but he tried to get info about the cue...nothing more.
It is also very true that he didn't show any interest in asking you about sending an invoice but you were not entitled to start a bashing thread about this.

my...x cents...

Not saying you're wrong, but he is a new member and he is genuinely interested in a cue. It is a competitive world out there, and he is just trying to get the best deal. seems normal that he is bouncing back and forth. He is wrong in teasing you with a sale but I don't think it's right that this thread will lessen his buying abilities on this forum.

Had he ripped you off for your P3 then I would agree to make a thread slandering him.

My rule of thumb is, make sure someone screws u over before starting a thread about them..

I couldn't agree more. There are plenty of clear cut scammers on Az.
No need to worry about what might happen.
*
I have sold a number of high dollar cues to international buyers. As a rule of
thumb you just get verified funds upfront that are not reversible, Let the buyer select
the shipping method, insurance, ect and make it clear the buyer is assuming the
risk with shipping and ship away. So far I have not had any issues.

Dear AZers, we are moving away from the main idea of this thread )
Rain-Man says that I'm not a fair person, but what he exactly talks about?
I don't want to deal with him, because he ignored my 3 PM's for a long time, being online and answering other threads, that were less worthy than my question. He could only send me a short PM, that he is studying my question and that will satisfy me well. But he was keeping silent )
How many of you will do the same way, if I told you, that the cash is ready to be send? I think no one...

Just a case in point....his computer may have been on but he may not have been on the computer......and sometimes if you dont refresh your page it will not show that you have a new pm....and people do have the right to decide who they sell to ......and you have the right to decide who you by from ......no harm no foul people just trying to be carefull....but there is no room for bashing of anyone here...as a new trader everyone will be carefull when dealing with you ...dont take it personally just make some honest deals and make a rep for yourself and you will be fine.

Good luck with all of your deals here

Thanks for the advice ) But if you look at the history of Rain-Man posts, you'll find out, that he was answering another threads during the delay period. And his status changed from "offline" to "online", in that case you will see a PM it's for sure )

Thanks for all AZ members for watching this thread, especially to those who left comments. I just wanted to buy a cue and that is a result...)

Best regards,
Eugene

I will allow myself a few words, because I often have to send cues abroad. And I think that this topic is not worth a damn.

IMHO the subject is quite everyday situation. Imagine, I came into the store, has chosen the goods, but the seller did not hurry to serve me. As long as the seller in thought, I went to a nearby store where I bought the same product quickly and without delay. The product is not unique but the factory product, identical in all stores. So whose problem is it? The seller or the buyer? I think the question is rhetorical.:)

I would like to add a few words. Now I have a few cues in different countries, which are paid in part or not paid at all. But I never think to blame all Americans, Filipinos, Frenchmen or anybody other in their general dishonesty or excessively guile.

I just decided for myself not to send the cue until I get full payment. It will be better if I miss a dubious deal than I would wag my nerves. A good cue sooner or later find its owner.

Best regards.
Dmitry.

P.S. And, yes, sorry for my "broken English".

Interesting. As someone who has only 1 iTrader myself, and started with 0, just like everyone, I understand the struggle of finding the right purchase.

Doesn't seem like, atleast from the messages that Jekka rushed the sale - just asked a lot of questions... Rain Man was trying to answer those. Maybe he didn't answer them in time, that's a decision the buyer has to make based on the communication level, which looks like is what happened.

Rain Man, you were trying to do a service to the community, which I understand, so kudos for that. Jekka, you were just trying to get what you wan't.

I do think the thread should be deleted as I don't see anything abnormal taking place. Erase - no harm done from either side :)

A few point for clarification purposes:

- I in NO WAY did I slandered him. Slander is telling untruths (lies) about someone, which I NEVER did. I stated what happened and advised others to be cautious if choosing to deal with him. They can be the judge from there..

If creating a thread to warn people about another member who walked from a sale because of lack of communication on the seller isn't slander then I guess I don't know what is.

Lets move on, they both spoke their peace, lets stop bumping this (me included) and go back to wheeling and dealing!
