are we talking about this cue? if so, yes scott murphey did have it 3-4 years ago. scott purchased it from the original owner who played a lot. it was on the cueaddicts site briefly (pre-refinish), but scott had it refinished by gilbert, and right after that he sold or traded it at the hopkins show. that was a few years ago.
bill, if you don't believe that it's the same cue, take a close look at your picture on the bottom right of your web page.

look specifically at the grain lines in the maple where it makes a flattened out, oblong oval shape, then see the grain wave above that, and the two bird's eyes right there. if you look at the attached forearm scan, you should see the same exact grain pattern above the point. hard to fade that not being the same cue !!
but you're right, i did try to do a trade/cash deal with you to get it. would also have bought it from you, too, after the show, but you never called me with the cash price. i always liked that cue....imo it's one of barry's most elegant looking non-ivory cues.
