I DON'T WANT TO GET INVOLVED.............. BUT AREN'T "NEW" AND "UNCHALKED" THE SAME THING? IF IT'S BEEN CHALKED IT'S NOT NEW, AND IF IT IS NEW, THAT MEANS IT WAS NEVER CHALKED.....THOSE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MY UNDERSTANDINGS.

IT'S JUST MY 2 CENTS, BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD THROW OUT A COLLECTORS INPUT INTO THIS.

Question

Just wondering, because a certain person feels the need to continually degrade Bill Grassley, his business and his religous beliefs (and typing skills) Explain this formula to me.

Take all the cues you sell in month. Then double that. Why is it that Bill sells way more cues than this in a week's time. (easily) :rolleyes:

He apparently is making a lot of satisfied customers and in turn they have come back over and over and over and over again. He has turned into the most successful cue dealer in the country for a reason. Can you explain to me why?

He apparently does this a lot better than you do.

I know you will come back with one of your highly intelligent, abrasive, self-righteous posts to degrade me. Because thats what you are good at. (That wouldn't necessarily be my life's goal or my contribution to society)
But I will give that to you, you are very good at it.

Again, how come his numbers are so much better than yours? (light years)

I know I should have never posted this, but I really get tired of you talking to people like they are a piece of s*>t. But again, you are very good at it.
Maybe you ought to look at your perfect life in the mirror.

I have been selling cues since before BG knew what a cue was. If I decided to take the same path, full cuemaker consignment and the like, I could easily accomplish the same thing, and without much thought. I have no beef with the cues or the amount of cues he sells. In fact good for him. The major difference between him and I is I am not hush talking behind his back. I will take any issue to him, straight up, here, to his face, whenever and whereever. Since you aren't privy to these discussions I don't expect you to understand any of it, and that is ok. I won't hold it against you.
I hope he sells a million cues, the more he sells the better off I am. But if he thinks he will continue to sell them as he does without backlash, he is in the wrong business. Why you feel a need to slam me is beyond me, you want to voice a beef, thats cool, but you need to choose your words more carefully and you need a little better information.
I speak to people like they deserve to be spoken to, and thats that. So if thats your correlation, then so be it, and its pretty perceptive I might add.

bill, if you don't believe that it's the same cue, take a close look at your picture on the bottom right of your web page.

look specifically at the grain lines in the maple where it makes a flattened out, oblong oval shape, then see the grain wave above that, and the two bird's eyes right there. if you look at the attached forearm scan, you should see the same exact grain pattern above the point. hard to fade that not being the same cue !!

but you're right, i did try to do a trade/cash deal with you to get it. would also have bought it from you, too, after the show, but you never called me with the cash price. i always liked that cue....imo it's one of barry's most elegant looking non-ivory cues.

Nobody deserves to be degraded. That's how you treat people. It ain't just Bill. This all your choice, though. It is a free country.

I'm amazed at how often this blatantly obvious rivalry rears its head in the forums. A thread will start out on a somewhat focused subject, then a dig or two comes out...then before you know it, there's an all out internet brawl.

I think we're ALL aware that you two don't get along....but why not hash it out with each other....either in person, or on the phone, maybe?? Seems to me that THAT would be more productive than taking pot shots against each other in front of everybody. Nothing good will come from it...and inevitably, people are gonna take sides and make matters 10x worse.

Just my $.02....and I do offer refunds.

I understand your opinion. I will be the first to admit if I catch a person lying or being deceitful in any manner , I become obsessively in your face, stick it in your $$$, with my attitude. Do I get degrading, yep, but I also know when I am wrong and when to say yep.. you're right and to shut up. I know you might not want to hear it, but now is not that time.
The second is your opinion and believe me Bill doesn't share that same value, which is why we're here.

Listen, JV....I have NO doubt that there's a TON more to the backstory than most of us will ever know....and there's always 2 sides to a tale......on that, I will never disagree with you.

All I'm saying....from an outsider's perspective....is that while seeing you two go back and forth is somewhat entertaining at times....lines DO get crossed. I see it as counterproductive to the whole purpose behind the forums. Public discussion and such - yes. Public ridicule and insults - not so much.

But who really cares what is behind the story? I know I don't and quite frankly it makes you look childish. I like your posts on cue's, think your very knowledgeable and look forward to most of your posts. But when you start arguing with someone about a story that none of us know, it just makes you look bad.

Sure you don't really care what some guy in Indiana thinks, but since we are sharing thought I'd tell you how it looks to me.

i dont feel the same. if someone wants a 3k$ cue they should hit a ball with it or have that right. this doesnt make the cue "used" if this is the case the cue instantly goes down in vales . i dont think so. when i buy cues. if you say no i cant hit a ball i will tell u to shove it. i dont mean play for 20 mins either.

dont some dealers have tan chalk. tan chalk is chalk too. this must mean they are being misleading. i dont think so. if bill told me this cue is new and i saw a guy hitting balls with it 5 mins ago i wouldnt call that cue used. tested is a good word and a big difference
