Hi guys,

This is Mike Wong. I wanted to know if anyone was interested in putting me in the U.S. Open 9-ball? Group efforts are welcome also.

I’m playing well, and as most people know, I play hard every time I’m at the table. I’d like to get some good people behind me. I know I might get some criticism for asking for help online, but times are tough! My decision to pursue this game has forced me to make sacrifices in life, including relationships, careers, and money, but I’m not giving up, I’m still going hard at it.

On a side note, if anyone thinks they can make some good money or a score with me, please let me know! I’m looking to travel and get out of NY.

Thank You. God Bless! :thumbup::clapping:

As requested by AZbilliard members, I am posting a video of a recent match I played. This is the finals match between Jayson Shaw and myself:

Thank You,

How about a little bio. Who are you, what you've done or won in pool, age, etc. Can't hurt.

Mike Wong can play...and he has cashed in the US Open.
.....but he's the worst chalker I ever heard of....

Mike is a decent player, plays very slow and takes his time on every shot. He plays real hard all the time and gives his best. With that being said. If your mad at your money than sponsor mike. Lol I'm just playing mike I wish you luck on getting a sponsor. But if you wanna play me some even 9 ball. I will play you a race to 15 for $1,000. Winner break, and we use the magic rack, and called 9 ball only. So let me know what you wanna do since the last time we were at a tournament you wouldn't play me. Maybe you can win $1,000 and put yourself in the U.S. Open and not sweat a stake horse.

Here's Wong vs Earl in 2012...

https://youtu.be/DVR4oN4509Y

This match is hysterical.

The slow play of Mike Wong is evident from the start - so much so that the commentators make it a topic of discussion.

Then it starts to chip away at Earl and he starts to miss balls and rush through racks.

47:00 Earl falls on the 10-ball and Wong doesn't concede it to him. Earl gets pissed and starts talking to crowd and then misses the 10! Good laughs. Wong calmly gets up and marks up a score on his side of the wire.

57:50 - Earl misses and leaves a hanger, Wong takes forever to sink it and start his inning, Earl has had enough and just gets up and concedes the final 4-balls to Wong instead of suffering the wait. 5-5 now

Earl then goes into Luc Salvas mode and runs the very next rack lighting fast - extremely agitated now.

... this game has forced me to make sacrifices in life, including relationships, careers, and money...

Yes I can understand that. Walking around the table forever to duck behind a ball 10" away might cost you more than jobs and relationships. Dude play the game right, especially when your playing a champion (Strickland). I could watch no more than 5 minutes of that match. You should take up mumblety peg.

Okay.....I get the point he's not popular with some of you but give a guy a break......it took gumption and a lot of guts to write that post....the guy was being candid.
Nowadays a lot of folks can use a helping hand from time to time........were it not for the good graces of God, you or I might find ourselves in need of a little help.

Hey guys,

I'm 30 years old. I was born and raised in NYC. I would have to think I'm one of the stronger players from NYC. I won around 10 or so Mezz Tour Stops. The last Predator Tour event that I played which was 2 months ago, Jayson Shaw beaten me 9-8 in the finals.

As requested by AZbilliard members, I am posting a video of a recent match I played. This is the finals match between Jayson Shaw and myself:

I know there is going to be a lot of nonsense on here, which made me reluctant to post on AZbilliards. I figured I give it a try. I got a few people interested so far, and I am thankful for any help.

Thank You
Mike

Vinny if you like to come to Steinway, we can post 2 sets. I can get staked here. We can play rack your own 9-ball or 10-ball. Playing with the magic rack is just stupid.

I lasted through 2 Wong shots. He could cash. The other players need Valium to stay sane. Wong is slower than evolution.
