Does anyone know where to find the Serial Number on a Gold Crown 4? Thanks...

It's been awhile but its stamped on a card or silver sticker on the frame.. I also think its stamped or painted on the bottom side of the rails not sure about the rails but I think there is..

Serial numbers

There are no serial numbers on any Gold Crowns. " Date Codes " are stamped on the bottom of the rails. A call to Brunswick will tell you when the table was made. Al.

setnoc is right, on the bottom of my rails is the 'date code' in black marker. It tells the month and year. Email Marvin at brunswick and he will give you some info on the table if needed. (marvin.eisenhauer@brunswickbilliards.com)

The three digit code on the rails of my 1963 GC 1 are stenciled onto the rail in white letters. The bottom foot rail is from a GC knock-off.

Timm ol buddy, trimming that rail cloth works better if you use a sharp pair of scissors instead of a dull saw:p

Appreciate all the info from everyone and the contact at Brunswick. I just want to register my GC4 to have a chance at some warrenty replacement parts. The table has a date of 2002 on the slate. I am the second owner and was told I needed a serial number to register. The table is perfect except for heavily pitted and discolored copper pocket castings and some pot marked formica on the rails where some gorilla did not use a block to drive in the feather strips and his hammer hit the edge of the formica in a number of spots. I just cannot believe that someone would do that to a rather new table. I may have to live with the rails, but would love to get new pocket castings. Thanks Again...

Instead of buying new pocket castings, look in your area for someone who can refinish them.

Glen,
I don't even pretend to know how to recover rails, that work was done by a pool hall 'pro' and were like that when I picked up the table. The installer that redid the rails and setup the table at my table did an excellent job (Tables by George out of Pierz MN)

If there is a number it would be on the sticker or piece of paper that is on the stretcher, it should have a little Brunswick logo on it and it is white. It is not hard to see if it is there. Just look underneath your table by the side pocket and you should see it, check both sides. The stretcher is underneath the table that connects the pedestals. The tag would be on the center of the stretcher up towards the top. Most of the time it just shows the date codes.

No labels anywhere on the legs or stretcher. Found a White Paper Label, like what you describe, about 2" x 3" with the Brunswick Logo underneath the Head Rail. It just has "CPK" in red ink stamped on it. Is that the date code? There is also a line for the "Installation Date" but that was never filled in. Thanks, Vinny

Brian, I just picked up a Gold Crown 3. Where did you get your plating done and how much was it?

Hey SD, I'll look for that info and get back to you on it, the price was around $25 for each corner/side if I remember correctly.

Do you know what was put on those castings after replating. Was it Acrylic Lacquer or some kind of special two-part coating? Thanks, Vinny

Hello Vincent,

I don't think anything was put on after the copper plating was done. It was just copper plated. The bad thing is it will tarnish real fast so you will need to polish them out a lot to keep the shine.

You can have a clear coat put on for some extra money but it will have a more dull look...

Any place that does powder coating should be able to do this as well.

Brian
