Okay...I read a bunch of post on the forum about how Scott helped them with their game..so i decided i would give it a try...Had a session with him on SAt. All i can say is DAMN...what a session...I thought I knew how to play..(well i really can) but Scott showed me so much in just a 2 hour session. I wont give to much info..not because Scott doesnt want it shared..(He verbally told me he doesnt care...the info is out there and has been for a long time) but because i dont want to spoil the enjoyment of you as a pool player seeing things in Real life and real time like I did, reflective of you pool game..i saw more and learned more about myself in the frist 35 min of the lesson than i have in past 15 years of shooting pool. I have video taped myself before, but never really knew what to look for..Scott didnt show me about pool, He showed me about myself. Scott was friendly, humorous, and an excellent teacher..he never bad mouthed another program or instructor. He told me its was about me becomeing a better pool player and his desire to see me improve..now i realize that Im gona have to change some major things about my stroke..which i am wiling to do and currently working on.but im gona give you a true test of just what 2 hours will do..I told Scott i had a small tournament to play later that day..I played some guy who i was much better than and have beaten before..so no problem there..now i get called to play a guy who is a jam up player who gives everyone the 8 and still goes thru the field like a hot knife thru butter..I play this guy, and i remember what Scott said..dont try to change everything at once..so i only worked on my preshot routine and sighting method...and just by doing these two things..my god...he never knew what hit him...and i beat him pretty bad..with 2 break and runs...when i went to tell the TD that i won..people were whispering damn "Tony beat Terry..that fast that bad..damn" I ended up playing my Apa captain later on...and i put a break and run on him as well, and he even said wow something diffrent on your approach to playing ...your playing jam up. I didint win ..but i approached a couple of people to play some cheap sets...and got turned down by many who normaly, would jump to play me. Thanks so much Scott for you time and your dedication to me as a pool player..I loved the statement.."Tony you will always be my student, even if you never get another lesson from me" Im telling you Scott Lee is the real deal..He loves what he does and you can tell it by his teaching ...its not just another session that he has to do, nor just a chace to collect some cash. .he really wants you to absorb what he teaches and apply it to your game..

SO QUITECOOLGUY SAYS...SCOTT LEE IS A HELL OF A INSTRUCTOR..YOU SHOULD GIVE HIM A CALL AND SET UP AN APOINTMENT...IM GLAD I DID, HELL NOW I WISH THAT THE PEOPLE IN RICHMOND WHO ALSO GOT LESSONS DIDNT SO I WOULD HAVE AN UPPER HAND;)

Nice of you to take the time to say so... and I agree. Scott's ok in my book.

I had an all-day session with Scott on Tuesday (with the video analysis) and agree with you that he knows his stuff. I knew I had stroke problems and he diagnosed them and told me what to do to fix them. I realize that now, it's my turn to practice what he taught me until it's something I don't have to think about. That will be the hard part.

I'm sure I will have a period (hopefully less than a few months) where it seems it's not giving me positive results, but I realize that once I get to where I don't have to think about the new, improved stroke, my confidence and consistency will help me win many more matches.

Nice report. I like the passion and am glad you benefited so much in such a short period of time. Often times, instructors are able to see things in a person's game that can be quickly corrected. I think instructors should consider becoming coaches at pool tournaments. They could observe and report things that could change the outcome of tournaments IMHO, maybe taking a piece of the purse as compensation or simply get paid regardless of the outcome. Nice things said about Scott LEE, too.

I agree... I got a lot out of my 3 hour lesson with him. It was time well spent.

WOW. You make me feel bad. I took the 3 lessons from a BCA instructor and my game went down hill faster than the Jamaican bob sled team.

It was worth the money but I didn't get the instant improvement like you did. Took me months to get it back to where I was before the lessons.

Hard to compare the two situations. Different corrections and adjustments require different time lapses.

Proper Training and Practice habits dictate your results....SPF=randyg

He was at my house before he came to meet you Tony. I can only say, "You are absolutely correct!" Scott is the real deal. He was helping me with 2 particular problems both of which we worked on and he gave me some drills to keep them at bay, then we worked on 8 ball strategy.

That great Brian...(mental note...stay away from Brian..hehe) My stroke was okay..just that Scott had me position my hand diffrent to ensure proper placement at contact of the ball..He corrected alot of myths that I really thought was true..which is if you see people with their hand way back on the cue then they are shooting incorrect..i am amazed that it all depends on "your natural stroke" I cant believe it...i will be working on my drills and getting in conctact with Scott when i feel confident that i mastered or at least with 70% accuracy do the drills he gave me..I know there is something wrong with my hitting the exact axis of the cueball..because when i hit the ball soft i can get it to come back and hit my tip but with a hard stroke..i empart english on the ball. i can move a just a bit to the left of center and the ball come back like a dart when i hit it hard..but i dont understand why maybe i clinch my fist when i shot hard......that is a later lesson with Scott My wife asked me "What the hell are you doing" as i went thru the house just pumping my forarm up and down..focusing on just moving on part of my arm hehhehe...I love it

There's nothing like having someone outside your own skin, watching what you're doing and pointing out things you can't see for yourself. It's pure gold.
