Seybert shipping....buyer beware

You can't write this shit. So, i wait around all day so i can sign for it. Around 4pm i open my apt. door and what is sitting on the fkng ground??? Yep, the cue. No knock, no signature just drop it in front of my door. In a fairly busy apt. complex. Ridiculous. So much for Seyberts requiring a sign. Better to drop at the office(which is what USPS does btw) than this bullshit. As for the cue, its pretty cool. Basic wrapless JOSS. Pic from the ad:https://www.seyberts.com/joss-cues/joss-jc-purple-play-cue/ Lot darker than in this pic. Nice basic cue. Try it out tomorrow.
I'm not real tickled with sieberts myself. That being said, I don't think you can blame them for the delivery man not getting a signature. If it was signature required, I would file a report with UPS

You bought a purple cue. Now that explains everything. They would have done you a favor if they took it.

Women… cheap or classy
Booze….. cheap or good stuff
Suits…… cheap or finely tailored
You………cheap or big spender

Ordered a cue from them. Its coming via UPS. I wanted to change delivery location to a UPSStore up the street so i don't have to waste a fkng day sitting around. Seyberts said they can't do that and the only other place they could send it(free) is to the main UPS hub which is a long way from my apt. To have it dropped at the local store is an extra 20bux. It gets better. To send it back i'd pay ship/insurance which is ok but then because i got free shipping they would deduct what they were out for shipping from any refund. Also, because i used Affirm to buy it i'd pay a 15% re-stock fee. I'll just keep it and sell it if i don't like it. Last time i deal with these guys.
I'd pay the surcharge

UPS told me that Seyberts made the call. Item was still in Illinois when i tried to change it. Is what it is. Just have to watch some pool, have a bourbon(or three) and a few gars tomorrow while i wait. ;)
I guess you left one thing out.

Go for the trifecta, Mon!

UPS dropped off a midamerica lathe (1600 value) on my porch that was supposed to be signature required. Probably as UPS problem

Ups delivers to the address on the box. They will hold your box at the local center. That is all they can do. Ups is a one shipper delivery service. That means UPS will not allow your package to be handled by anyone but UPS employees once it is in their possession. UPS Stores are not UPS and do not employ UPS employees.
Seyberts was the consignor supplies an address. Your request as a consignee is not allowed by UPS's company policies and procedures.
Your customer satisfaction is how UPS stays in business by the way. But they can't do that for you. If you worked there and they put the box in your hands. If allowed for an extra shipping correction charge.
I only worked there 42 years. All those years this how UPS manages all the boxes.
You owe Seyberts an apology and a beer if he accepts it!
Happy pocketing,
Nick :)

so, you used a 3rd party pay later firm & don't like their return policy & you decided after the fact to change delivery address with another 3rd party so your reaction is to trash the retailer that has done absolutely nothing wrong. how's the weather in your alternate universe?

the seller specified signature required(this via UPS tracking info) and no changing location without a surcharge. turns out that there is no surcharge(this came straight from a UPS supervisor). cue showed up with NO sign required(WTF Seyberts?????) and just dropped outside my door. i wasn't planning on doing a return, just pointing out the assf%^king you take if you do so.

I have a UPS store a mile away and it is my preferred location. i've had many things left there. Seyberts told me there is a surcharge to leave there. According to UPS cust. serv. supervisor that is not true. Leaving the cue on the sidewalk with no signature(UPS tracking said sign. was required btw)?? Really?? This whole thing was a clusterfuck imo. I don't owe anybody shit.

I'd bet the signature required problem was UPS's fault .

USPS has been using Covid as an excuse.

They drop it at your door and run, they don't want the contact with people and they no longer have to wait, imagine the time they save every day not waiting for people to get to the door and sign. They don't want to hand them a pen and then put the pin back in their own hands.

They need to do away with signature required if they have no plans to use it.

In the end they put a surcharge on cues and won't wait for you to answer the door.

Good news? It's Friday.

Shipper is the one that specifies that and that's what track. inf. showed. All i know is it was dropped on sidewalk in front of apt. That IS a UPS issue i know. If i'd known no sign. was needed i would have had it left at the office. Cue is ok and plays decent i guess. Probably sell it soon as its very different(VERY stiff) from what i'm used to. Already have a couple guys at the hall looking at it. Damn sure not taking a $100 hit to return it.

If it was USPS you could call the station and have them hold the parcel at the station for you to pick up. Not sure about UPS.

I just put a note on my door usually and USPS/UPS(if no sign. required) will leave at the apt. office. Have done this MANY times.
