i missed it too. guess no one wants to talk about thier source even though we all use the same few prob.

the general public can google anything now. there are no "trade secrets only secret techniques

I would guess they would be the same price as they are now.
How about if every dowel was triple A grade?

Many cue makers are using laminated Maple shafts to try to get consistency.
Personalty, I prefer the darker color and higher ring count natural maple for a shaft.
Some refer to those as Old Growth or Slow Growth Maple.
It is the color and density that you see on the American cues made 40 years ago.
