Forgive me for not knowing...but I want to. I've heard so much about "runout" and "sugar marks". I'm pretty sure I don't know because I have never seen a shaft with these attributes? Anybody care to give a quick explanation and possibly some pics of good examples v.s. bad? One thing I have seen is usually a regular maple shaft with a particular pattern/streak running down the length of a shaft and the exact same thing approximately 180 degrees on the other side. Is this the "runout"? I think "sugar marks" are the discoloration or darker marks I have seen in few shafts. Educate me
