Thanks - I messaged the Simonis rep. I'd also like to hear anybody's experience, suggestions, etc.I'd contact Simonis. If I was going to experiment I'd use Woolite. Spot test first,

Without taking the cloth off, a " full " cleaning of any type will be very tedious, if not harmful, but i suppose it could be done.
That said, I have taken a cloth to a commercial dry cleaner and had great results.
I always heard Simonis is a wool/nylon blend. Your warning might still apply though.BE VERY CAREFUL-
SIMONIS CLOTH IS PURE WORSTED WOOL-
VERY HIGH QUALITY MATERIAL-
I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYTHING LIKE SHAMPOO-
Maybe dry cleaning solution,
maybe"
Thanks. Interesting suggestions over there - here's the front runner for those interested:This was from the "Talk to a Mechanic" forum from last year.

I first use an Electrolux hand held vacuum, has a HEPA Filter on it, no rotating brush, just suction. After that I get a bucket and use the hottest water I can stand, along with a capful of Woolite. I get the microfiber towels wet, then wring them out before wiping down the table. I usually get around 2 tables done before the water has cooled too much and is fairly dirty. I was told to use the hottest water possible because of how it causes the fibers of the cloth to contract. I make sure to only use these towels for table cleaning, nothing else.
