Shane is Back In the Cup!

Yawn.....

Newsflash: The U.S. is still going to lose especially with him on the team. What is that saying about insanity.......

LOL! And thanks...I won't sign up for facebook, so Jam's link won't work for me.

Friends don't make friends sign up for FacePlant.

Buy you can see Johan's statement without signing up. I used an anonymous browser window and just clicked "Not now." I have a headache.

He didn't say that. :rotflmao1::rotflmao1::rotflmao1: I'm laughing.

I could transcribe it for you. It's not that long.

I'm still laughing at the CliffNotes. :grin-square:

Something like, "Insanity is repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results." It is often attributed to Albert Einstein but the earliest documented close source is from a 1981 NarcAnon pamphlet.

Maybe he'll take it a little more seriously this year and prepare himself properly for the matches. along with the other guys. I can tell you this much, that at least three of our players were unprepared to play during the Mosconi Cup for reasons that I will not go into here. They know who they are and so does Johann.

Well, if the coach knows this inside info, then those three aren't there, right? If they are there, then the coach is a moron. Right?

I refer to it as FaceCrack myself... never join will I!

So it sounds to me like they maybe discussed some ways that Shane's preparation, whether it be mental or physical, may not be conducive for this particular event. If it works, maybe this guy has earned his paycheck.

As for the event itself, I don't know if it will happen, but I would love to see the U.S. win just to quieten down some of the doom and gloomers on here...I mean the Cleveland Browns know they ain't favored to win the Super Bowl, but they show up every single Sunday, and thousands of fans still support them every game....

I like the way you think! :)

One- it isn’t the official definition of insanity. Two- you should never leave the best player off the team- you could make a strong argument he is actually the best player in the world

Jayson Shaw was in the commentator booth for a while at the WPS 8-ball tournament yesterday. Asked about the difference between the two teams at the Mosconi Cup, he said that Team Europe had more team spirit. That they all stayed and supported their team mates during the single matches and in general hung out together, while the Americans left the room when they were not playing to go gamble or whatever.

amazing

now replace the dumb ass euro coach with an American, Nick Varner maybe or Earl if hes's not playing

Jayson is right. I noticed that several years ago.

Another difference: European players stop in the hotel bar after practice to say hi friends before turning in. American players stop in the hotel bar for a beer with friends.

Respectfully, Matt
(I don’t take myself too seriously. I hope you can return the favor.)

I cannot help but respect both Matchroom and Johann for their initial stance on this matter, but good for them for putting the event first. A Mosconi Cup, without Shane would have been a watered-down one.

As they usually do, Matchroom gets it right again!
"Watered down"??? Seriously? This guy looks like he's in a coma and plays like crap in this event. If our winning hinges on SVB's participation i don't like our chances.
