Shane came to us, we didn't go to him. So nothing was offered to him to get him to play our cues. PatDuane Tuula said:Sure, custom made for Shane. What's the odds on him playing with the cue "as is" in 6 months? What are the odds he even owns the cue in 6 months?
The cue looks great but Shane has a custom that he has played with for a long period of time and is comfortable. Why would he change?
I recall when SVB had an OB1 shaft that was "all the rage". I asked him myself at the WCO and he was nice enough to say he "liked the shaft" but when he played I noticed he didn't use that shaft.
It's just a really difficult position a player is put in when someone offers "something". Can they actually play with the product? Feel varies by person so I would be very surprised in the long run if Shane plays with the cue.

Just my normal shaft taper. It is a very slight gradual taper for about 14 inches. By the time I'm done sanding who knows what it is. LOL PatSalamander said:Pat,
What kind of shaft taper did you use out of curiousity?

With regards to "What's the odds on him playing with the cue "as is" in 6 months? What are the odds he even owns the cue in 6 months?" - i guess we will know the answer to that question after six months.
With "Why would he change?" - I sincerely feel that it is a question that could only be answered by Shane.
With regards to "It's just a really difficult position a player is put in when someone offers "something," - Shane ordered one for himself from Pat Diveney after trying out a particular Diveney cue from another pro pool player.
And with "Can they actually play with the product? Feel varies by person so I would be very surprised in the long run if Shane plays with the cue" - Shane won the tournament in Davenport using this cue, and it was the first time he shot with it! And i kid you not!

The answer to the post above is it is not stainless. It is Titanium. It polishes harder and not as bright for me. But I didn't want the glue coming loose and the joint to start making noise so I left well enough alone. Pat
The diameter of the ferrule is 12.35. Shane had told me that he didn't like a big tip, so I guessed at it. Must have been right, he loved it. A similar hitting cue to Johnathans would cost about 575.00 with one shaft and a elfron joint. Johnathans is ivory, but I don't think you would know the difference. PatJoeyA said:Pat,

BTW, I recently hit some balls with Hennessey's "Pat Diveney" cue and it played well.
OK, how much for a similar hitting cue?
No need for fancy, just like playability....

Your prices are VERY nice.
With quite a few "decent" players using your cue, you may soon be backlogged. There must be a reason they are using them.
I will be sending you an email soon.
Thanks for the response.

I've hit balls with Joe's cue too and I concur that it is a great one. You don't see many people out hawking their Diveney cues do you? Wonder why...JimS said:Seems to me that I remember Adam Behnke and Little Joe having Diveney's and I think Shane runs in that crowd. I hit a few with Little Joe's Diveney and it plays real sweet.
