here is another analogy. let's say Marissa and another lady colleague play the same speed. Marissa was offered to endorse the product but vehemently refused because she believe that she would only embarass the sponsors. so the sponsors turned to her colleague who plays the same as her. she gladly accepts the offer. now Marissa gets mad because she believes that her colleague doesn't deserve to get the endorsements.
now, who are we to decide for the person whether she accepts the offer or not? she was the one who was asked, she was the one who was made to decide. you did nothing but rather biatch about it. it's not like she did something bad or stole from somebody. it was given to her, by privilege. why hate on the person who accepts the gift? aren't you suppose to be glad? why so sober about someone who accepts a gift?
