Shaw or Orcullo or Shane?

A few more

Won the banks at the Duerne Classic in Holland, Feijen, Lely, Boyes etc etc in the field.

In the money 3 out of 4 days at DCC high run this year, also finished 3rd/4th in the 14/1 itself.

3rd in Chinese 8 ball

Former World Champ English 8 ball

Yup, thanks. I just signed in again to add 1st in the 2010 World Blackball Championship. [My list already had a couple of the others you mentioned.]

Good point ! Thanks for clarifying !
But i think i didnt phrase my question properly.

So i get it that both have backers but why does Shane seems to be doing way better off if Dennis is presumed to be winning alot in tournaments and money games.
I mean Shane choose when he wants to play now n takes alot time off fishing while Dennis seems to be struggling financially trying to win every tournament n money game .

Maybe because Shane has played with his own money more then Dennis, and /or Shane's backers did not take as big of a cut of the winnings as Dennis's backers have? I do not know, just a thought.

I'd say he "can play" other games, too. Here are some of Jayson Shaw's finishes in non-rotation events:

3rd -- 2017 Chinese 8-Ball World Championship
3rd -- 2017 DCC 14.1 Challenge
1st -- 2016 Accu-Stats Make-It-Happen 8-Ball
2nd -- 2016 DCC Banks
4th -- 2016 DCC One-Pocket
5th -- 2016 American 14.1 Championship
1st -- 2015 NYC 8-Ball Championship
2nd -- 2015 DCC 14.1 Challenge (plus 1st in qualifying high runs with 227)
9th -- 2015 World 14.1 Tournament
1st -- 2014 NYC 8-Ball Championship
5th -- 2014 DCC 14.1 Challenge
4th -- 2013 US Open 8-Ball Championship
5th -- 2013 World 14.1 Tournament
5th -- 2013 DCC 14.1 Challenge

Quit ruining our action;) we're gonna have all the action we can stand if these matches ever go off. Some people just can't "see" how people play, they put their fanboy hats on and become blind.

Jason<-----has Shaw, now bet something.

Or maybe he likes playing video games on his ipad and he is a sucker for the in-app purchases?

I do not know, just a thought.

If there's anyone interested at staking him at a set of each playing one pocket, banks, and 9 ball derby style, there's a list of players that will play him. It's no short list, I'm sure there's 10-20 guys minimum. Not races to 3 like derby, an actual match.....
Like races to 9 bank and one pocket and races to 17 or 21, 9 ball.

The ole saying is put your money where your mouth is.
I'm certain all of these guys would play for starters.
SVB
Dennis
Alex
Billy Thorpe
Justin Hall
Justin Bergman
Corey D
Bustamante

And I'm not certain he could beat:
Jason Brown
Shannon daulton
Chip Compton
Joey gray
Sky Woodward
Danny smith
Jeremy jones
Tony chohan

Obviously in strictly 9 ball he's a favorite over most of these guys, but you throw in all 3 games and he's a dog to most all of them. Anytime anyone wants to pony up some cash and stake him, I'll bet on ANYONE on that top list for sure. This was a quick list, I'm sure there's 10 more.

Don't be scared to make some money, I'm sure he would want to be staked and willing to play these matches.

1 high finish in 1p at DCC could be an abnormally.

Mike Dechaine finish 2nd one year and there's probably 20 USA players that can take him all day in 1p.

Same with Earl, 2nd in 2011 at DCC.

Any elite 9b/10b player will most likely play 8b and straight pool at a high level too.

Same with many of the europeans.

Darren Appleton might be the only European that isn't a 1 trick pony.

Wait and see how many Europeans would enter a $500+ entry 1p tournament. The answer is just Darren Appleton.

Dennis is wayyyy better pool player. 10 ball anything can happen it's close but I give edge to Dennis. Shaw shoots really fraught but I like Dennis in every other game except maybe Chinese 8 ball. Normal 9 ft, I like Dennis is in every pool game.

You have better first hand experience with them, but in all my years of playing, I don't think I have seen a better tight table shooter than Shaw. If it comes down to shooting a ball into a 4.25-4" pocket, with speed to go 3-4 rails for position, I'd bet on Shaw to make it over anyone else.

Jayson is a straight shooter but on tight pockets, i doubt anyone can beat Wu chia chin on a consistent basis.
Jayson splits those pockets but breaks down occasionally, i feel wu is still the better shotmaker pound for pound.

10 years ago, no one is dumb enough to mess with son of pool yang chin hsun.
Just ask Dennis n he"ll tell you, i bet those scorching scars have recovered but not forgotten !!

that was history buddy, the equipment and especially tables were different then, Dennis is more complete now.

if talking about other players, Wu JiaQing is my favorite against anyone. if long race winner breaks then can add Jeff De Luna, if he is not prone to making wrong adventurous decisions lol

You've got action if it happens

It's not hard.
Just call Shaw, tell him you will stake him. He will probably say he's busy on the eurotour chasing 3k payout tourneys though. So I doubt he would ever play, although he will say he wants to. If I "wanted" to, I'd make time.
I'll just stake the top list myself.
5k a set, that's if they don't want it themselves, but I'm sure 7 of the 8 would want it

I know which was why i stressed " if 10 years ago" wish he wld have continue playing.

But i guess we r on the same page, i doubt anyone wld want a piece of wu 10 or 9 ball in a race to hundo.

However heres some little inside info, guess what, money n tournament winnings means little to Wu, hes more focused on his business and apprenticing under his uncle who is a multi-millionaire n real estate mogul in china.
He still practices n take part in tournaments only if he feels like it !

Arguably the most talented pool player in the world.

Can i remind everyone that this thread is about playing on a 10" table? Do you realize what kind of cueball control you need?

Smart guy that Wu.
