Shaw vs SVB updates

I'd say that Shaw is most asssuredly the favorite from here, but if you think there's no chance for Shane then give me 20-1 for $20 and I'll take him....

Lock in by 4:00 p.m. phoenix AZ time or I'll consider it just gumming...

20 bucks...you should send it...

There is such a thing as a statistical impossibility....we have surpassed that.

We're live - I do like Roberts and Thorpe doing the commentary. Roberts is a bit chatty, but I like his analysis. Thorpe is a good mix of letting the players play and chiming in. And I'd often prefer no commentary to bad or mediocre commentary.

Shaw 100-64 for 36 rack lead. Shaw is already leading by 12 for Day 3
This is a big blowout and like a practice session for Shaw.
Shane has to try and not lose by huge margin, not lose by more than 30

Shaw 105-69
At start of Day 3, score was Shaw 80-56.
So to win Shane needed a rate of at least 1.6 racks for every rack Shaw wins
Shane was only doing a miserable 0.5 rack for every rack Shaw wins
But now Shane needs a rate of 3.4 racks for every rack Shaw wins. In other words, Shane now needs double the rate required at start of Day 3 😆

Shaw 107-72 for lead of 35
If I am not mistaken, the record for biggest winning margin in these looonnnng races between even opponents was SVB v Orcollo 35 racks, Score 120-85. (AtLarge would be able to confirm this record)
Recent Gorst v Biado was 34 (Score 120-86)
So Shane now has to try to not break that record of 35 :D

Shaw 117-79 . Leads by 38
Shane needs 41 while Shaw needs 3.
In other words, Shane needs to win about 14 racks for every rack Shaw wins 🤣

Good show from Jayson. Shane's glad that's over, for sure. Shane never lost his shit though, took pics with fans during breaks, signed autographs, etc. Class act during a tough loss. Good job for Roberts and Thorpe in the booth too - huge improvement over prior Omega commentary IMO. I'd buy another PPV event like this.
