Shipping problems

Hey guys,

I have a question in hopes that maybe someone has some insight for me to make me feel a little better.

I posted this question here since alot of Shipping traffic is generated in this forum!


I am expecting a package from England and it was delivered around the 12th of November. expected delivery time is 7-10 days.

Here it is December 3rd and i still have not received my package.

Should i be alarmed by this? could it possibly be a Customs issue over in England ?

What should i do about this Problem ? i have contacted the shipper already. What should i have him do on his end?

You are expecting the package or it has been delivered already ?

Do you have a tracking number for that package ?

Have you contacted the seller ?
 
Every time I've shipped something to the states its been there within 4-5 days. I always send items Airsure (priority) though.

I think the only thing he can do is lean on the post office to find out where it is. Do you have a tracking number?
 
Did it have Ivory abalone or exotic wraps?

customs are nabbing things left and right! a friend of mine, he just lost a cue in ky to customs, and it is not pretty. the people shipping phillipeen cues painted black, and using asian ivory .are throwing flags everywhere. I know ernie G and thomas wayne have lost cues to them (customs)and now Iam hearing of it alot more!!! also arthur cue got stopped on there way back into germany , but they only had some production cues with no ivory ! thank God

This is the FOR SALE section!

If everyone posted here "because it gets more traffic", it would no longer be the FOR SALE section and, therefore, would cease to get more traffic.

BTW, it only gets more traffic because these type threads aren't allowed!!

No i dont have a tracking # unfortunately!

I Did contact the seller.

Went to the post office and they said he should check with customs on his end.
Because if it was held here they probably would have contacted me.

And no there is no ivory on the cue in question.

I since i got the cue from this Wanted For Sale Section, i figured my question kinda belonged here.

i am having the same problem as well. cue shipped on nov 6..yet to receive anything today!!! stil pending refund from seller.

I would have posted here also....BUT, I think the MODS should dlete this type of thread once problem has been solved....if it would even be worth it to delete it. ..or just let it fall off the board

I now understand why the name calling is banned on the forums as this is one of those situations where you can completely understand the use of quite a few expletives. He did post in the for sale section because the transaction was generated here. He had a shaft for sale as did the other party and since he is asking a question regarding a transaction that generated here. So as i said i will hold back on the name calling. So dude seriously R-E-L-A-X lol.
 
I Am not looking to place blame or to take action on anyone, that is why i was very vague in my post. this is all just probably a postal problem. i have faith that the un-named person has fulfilled his part of the transaction.

All i was asking of you guys was some suggestions on how to handle it.

I have not Mailed to many packages, and i figured you guys here in this forum have. So i am asking for you expertise on expediting my problem.

Also as a follow up one of our own has a problem about a transaction that generated in this for sale section. Are you personally going to be the AZer that says nope sorry not interested in helping. I speak from experience man it sux when you're blacklisted and while some members still dont like me others have welcomed me back. The wealth of information listed here and the variety of cues for sale and accessories and more is astounding. So if you want to be the one guy so far who has bad mouthed a guy for asking for some advice go for it because you will be THAT GUY.
 
Few months ago I sold a cue through ebay (posted it here but no one would buy it). the buyer was from germany and the cue was posted from australia. I used first priority service and was advised the item would arrive in 3-10 working days. I got the tracking code too. Unfortunately, it was my first time using auspost service. The priority service I used provides tracking code but only available by phone within australia. I was not told about this. The hardest part was to inform this to the buyer. It sounded really silly and fortunately he could understand (I assumed so since he didn't reply my email). After nearly 3 weeks the cue still has not arrived, he (not so understanding this time) wrote me an email asking for the cue. I tracked it down and it just arrived germany and still needed few more days to get to the buyer's town. In total the shipping took nearly a month.

I was trying to say, just give the guy more time, post service is not always reliable and all they can give you is estimated number of days, it does not mean the item would arrive on time. probably he already did his part at the other end but things might have happened along the way resulting a delay in shipping time.

Hope you'll get your cue soon...
 
Yesterday i received about 5 xmas cards from several peoples which means that traffic just b4 xmas has started. Have patience and the package will come to you. December is always a tough month for posting.

Hold on the buddy ,,

Shipping problems your having with a item you bought in this section DOSE belong in here !!
Not only that but what better place to ask than from the Guy's that Sell and Ship !!

Others need to let the Mod's do the moderating !!

It's kinda hind sight but make sure any transaction (including int'l) have a tracking number. This way, you can see where the cue is sitting (or last scanned) ... sometimes they can be stuck at US Custom for a bit.

I'd never want to be in a position of having non-trackable transaction and wondering what's going on.

If you've agreed to trackable transaction and the seller doesn't send the shipment with tracking number, then the onus is on the seller. And if the seller turns out to be a douche bag, then onus becomes an anus.

I would think with the holidays being here everything would move alot smoother not until the end when it is crunch time !

Well it took nearly 2 months but i finally received my package. good thing it wasn't damaged... otherwise there would've been hell to pay!
