Are you saying our brains aren't different?

Do you think if women put together a female poker tourney that men should be allowed to play?

Give me an example of a mens pool tourney? There are non. They are all open or womens.

Why even have genders then? If men and women are the same to you then go and have sex with a man.

Im dyin to hear you explain why women need a seperate poker tourney then men.... This should be worth the price of admission.........

Im not saying they need one. Its not a matter if they need one its a matter it they want one. Do you think women should be allowed into gentalmens clubs? I don't.

Would you have sex with a transgender person? If not why? How would you feel if you had sex with it and found out later it was transgender?

absurd , ridicoulous , absoluteley not , no.

screw cromosones, the man's a man, are we done here.

women are women, if they're straight or gaye, or cross dressaaers, that has nothing to do with being a woman.
some women are weight lifters, some black belt martial arts experts.
she;s still a gril.

the faggy guy who started this xayb cromosone quest for attention probaby has mother abuse issues.
i say give him a tent and send him packing.

ridiculous, the next thing you know, women will be joining mens clubs, smoking cigars, drinking brandy and cognaqc

quote me completely, dont take what I say out of context

That's not out of context, it was a complete point from what I could see. Poker tournaments had nothing to do with brain structure and chemistry being different between the sexes.

The art of the snip if an old habit from newsgroups when people had enough manners not to quote an entire diatribe to simply write, "lol" afterward which was insanely annoying on a dialup modem.

Should transsexuals be allowed to play women's sporting events?
Boxing, tennis, MMA, archery, swimming, riffle shooting, pool?

If yes, At what point is the transition is this ok? When they feel like a woman (say someone like jason hunt decided he feels like a woman one day and wants to clean up in ladies tournies) When they start taking hormones? When they get there penis taken off and have a vagina built?

As far as the above sports youve listed. Archery, Riffle shooting , and Pool, has nothing to do with gender, those 3 sports shouldnt need seperate tourneys. As far as the remaining sports youve listed, they require tremendous strength, so seperate tourneys needed to be fair to both sexes.

This isn't a thread about if people should stop hosting womens only events. Its a thread asking if men should be allowed to play in womens only events. Two separate things.

Not completely sure how I feel about the transgender topic. But as far as men playing in womens events. You can't have it both ways, either have mens and womens events, or open period. If there is an open mens event (I remember it happening a few years back in golf) and a woman demands to play in it and the public forces the issue, then men should be also allowed to play in the womens events (if they are good enough to play in them).

People want a double standard. If you truly beleive in equal rights, then woman should be allowed to try out and play in any and all sports (with in wieght catagories I think), but that goes the other way too.

Was it a mens event by tradition or a clearly defined 'mens event?

You jnow to be honest I don't remember. It was like the mens masters or something (I don't follow golf), but this woman played way beyond the female curve (like Jean Beluckus speeling here sorry). And this woman wanted to compete. There was a big hopla about it, and I think she was able to compete (and I think she got creamed).

THe way i see the whole thing, if a male to female transgender tried to enter the WPBA would they let her play. If she played the same speed as the top men, like Earl, Archer, Van Boing, then they would say NO NO NO. But if it was me, they would love the attention they would get from the press (I'm a terrible player). And I would love to see a female to male transgender try to comptete with the big boys, it would be interesting. Becuase really, how many "Pro" women can compete in the mens tournaments and be a favorite to win. Only a couple of women in ALL the women in the world at this time (when I say a couple, I know there is more but not that many).

The transgender aspect still falls within that to me...

Oh so now your brain in different.......thats a good one.......I suppose men and women cant compete in poker either?? Thats just mental...... So you mean to tell me you need seperate poker tourney's too??

The concept of yin and yang didn't spring up from nowhere.
Think about it, John.....aren't you glad your mother didn't think like your father.

Vive le difference!

HAHA yep. that one is for anyone who answered yes. No one will answer it.

If you answered yes, would you have sex with a transgender, a male who wants to be female? I bet you would all say no Because its not a woman but you think a woman should have to compete against them.

Well, back to the original question:

My answer is No.

Why? Personally, I don't have an issue with how you live your life; what you like, you like. What I like might differ. So if you feel like a woman trapped in a man's body I can't honestly say that, "I know how you feel".

However, being born a man, you have certain organization in your brain, a certain musculature that separates you from females no matter how you feel. You might very well have the instincts to be a female, your developing mind might have been saturated with estrogen during your early life. Either way, nature decided you were male and gave you the abilities and deficits that come with it.

Science may have given you implants, hair removal, hormone treatments, and gene therapy. But you're still a man under there. And I'm fine with that, again, it's your life and you should live it however that suits you / makes you feel. I am not the judge and jury.

I do feel that you're wearing a disguise though. One that might make you more comfortable in your own skin, yes, but a disguise none-the-less. In the spirit of that, and that alone, you are not (to me) a female. You might look the part, but under it you're a man. If that strikes anyone as anti-PC, feel free to label me.

Even if I put JCIN in a dress, he shouldn't be allowed to enter a women's tournament.

Why women get their own tournaments is a totally different issue.

I answered yes.

-- Who is going to do chromosome checks before tournaments? How?

-- Who is going to look inside pants? (And who will play in a tourney that permits that?)

-- Is the majority advocating "straight only" tournaments? How are you going to regulate that?

-- I'm not afraid to play in open tournaments with men, why should I be afraid of a woman who once was a man but now is a woman playing in a woman's tournament?

--Brains are wired differently, therefore, no playing the same game/sport against each other in competition? That's ridiculous.

--Are you assuming a woman who once was a man has "brain wiring" that resembles... which- a man, or a woman? And why does it even matter? Is one wiring supposed to be better than another?

--Your assumption that not caring if an opponent is male, female, or once was one and is now another means that we will have sex with anyone is absolutely ludicrous.

--I can honestly say that I have never, ever played a man or a woman and wondered what sex would be like with them- I try to limit my thoughts to making the ball and getting shape. And not embarrassing myself. Sex just hasn't entered into it. But, yeah- now I'm vaguely worried about you guys.
