Should AZB require REAL NAMES?????

The JS post got me thinking.

Should AZB require that users have their real name, city and state under their username.

It would need to be verified and could be posted in smaller font under the username.

Something like this:

POOLHUSTLER
Russ Martin - Los Angeles, CA

This might cut out some of the crap posted on here by haters.

Just thinking out loud - What say you???

Have a great day....

All of this from some one who doesn't have his own information posted!!!! I mean WTF!!!!!!!

Post your real information and then ask the question again, then maybe people will take you seriously, but I doubt it!!!!!!!

Hell.....I dunno, But it brings to mind something my grandpa said to me when I was a child. " Danny my boy......folks were sure a hell of a lot nicer to each other ......when everybody carried 45's"

You were on SNL ???

Like my new hat? It's a funny hat. Yeah it is, it's funny. It's funny because it's bigger than a regular hat.

Mine is already and has been posted under my user name. I say real names are fine but location is another story.

Really, what difference would using a real name make? Poster's are going to be rude no matter what name is being used. We already have some real name posters here that prove it. If someone is gettng out of hand , use the report button and the rude conduct will cease very quickly. The bickering back and forth is waste of effort, and quite frankly I read very little of it.
Exchange of opposing ideas and viewpoints that are a little different is what makes this forum interesting, not the badgering and backstabbing.

I just put my name in place of registered user also. I need to get a picture of my self for the avatar. I think it would be nice for everyone to do this so we would get to know the person, so if we meet in tournaments and other events we would recognize each other.

The Private Message feature on Vbulletin software was put there for PRIVATE MESSAGES WITH PRIVATE INFORMATION.

I might be new to this Forum but I have made many friends from other forums via Private Messaging as the second line of contact. Free Long Distance phone calls make Internet Friends, Personal Friends Etc. But I can express my opinion on the Internet better if I use an alias.

If you want to open your information to the world, that is your business. But don't ask the rest of us too.

I would be happy to tell you what ever you want to know. But that's not the point of your post anyways, is it??

Take care and try to get your meds fixed!!

Craig,

Read my original post again. Real slow so you can understand the topic.

This thread was not about whether or not I should post my information.

It IS about whether of not AZB should require that users post up there real names.

Please either post on the topic or shut up.........

It's a wonderful day in the Neighborhood Russ, say hello to Mr. Train!!!!!!

I recently went to both My Space and Face Book. I have to admit, people are telling the world all their information.

I prefer to be private person. I have told some AZ members my real name in PM's. But AZ would never have gotten me as a member if I had to post my Real Name. I think most people are more willing to post if the can use an alias.
