Should I be dumping on the Wife?

Ok. My brother and I played our weekly pool. Straights this time, and not too impressive.
Except, I go on these runs that some would think I might be hustling........
It's an accident.
So a few days ago I lose to my wife 5-2 (after rattling many 9 balls) in a race to 5.

Tonight I convince her to play 1 game. I break 3 in and scratch. She makes 1. I then run 5 and out with 2 banks. Including a sweet back cut cross side on the 9!!!!!!
She is a sore loser and grumpy.
She swore up and down I dumped on our race to 5 match. (I didn't, just too much beer)
Now I have a nice run and get no credit. Damn!!
BTW I am a great loser. I love to see great runs / shots even at my expense!
 
I would tell her that if i didn't suck I would not have had to make 2 bank shots out of 5 balls.
 
sounds like alot of fun and a great way of killing boredom and passing time.
she's being together with you, in admiration of you.
show her what you can do, that's whats she's there for, that's why she's there.
you're her hero, her superman, get a coffe, maybe a sandwich or dinner.
not many guys get this treatment from thier ladies, this is good :)
 
Your lucky your wife plays. My wife spends more time on my table then I do but never uses chalk.

I would just count myself as incredibly lucky to have a wife that enjoys playing pool with you. It's a win-win for you all the time.

I Love this post Brother!

Its great to see some people really enjoy pool with their loved ones!

Keep doing what you are doing 9andout, shooting pool with your wife and friends, oh and of course the beer goes along with the pool and great time!

ps, always try you best while playing pool, missing on purpose takes all the fun out of the game!
 
I remember when my wife and I would play together back when we were dating.
I married her thinking that we would keep playing together and she married me thinking I would quit playing altogether....

Never dump. If you really love her, you make her work for the win. Me and my fiancé play a lot together and she beat me in a race to 3 playing 9ball the other night. She was glowing after she won. It was great to see her get so excited to beat me fair and square. I think it even made her want to play more. I am glad to hear that you and your wife enjoying playing pool together. Cheers
 
I was going to quote a lot these posts but they are all so good! Thanks for all the positive comments. I should show her this thread. BTW she watched CSI 10 ball PPV with me.
She is a true fan.
BUT Prewar's comment about having to bank 2 balls rained on my parade....... now I'm the one who's all bummed!!! Lol That was good. But maybe I didn't "have to" bank them??? Hmmmmm.......
 
The last time that I dumped on my wife... I shot left handed only, to give her a fair chance of playing against me.
She ran 7 balls against me on her 2nd turn at the table to win in 8 ball... I was left with all of my balls still on the table. I guess it wasn't very fair after all... to me.

Never underestimate the power of a woman with a stick in her hand.

I dumped a lot when playing my sons (when they were young), now they hate pool!

I believe it is called corprophagory, or something like that.

I have a buddy who owns a printing shop and he used to print the crazy cartoon sex mags for poop fetishers and people who wanted to see aliens poking human holes.

And no, I don't think you should dump on your wife, but it really isn't any of my biz-u-niss.
 
If you are much better than her and she gets discouraged play her opposite handed, its a great skill to have and Im sure you will improve fast if its not something you regularly do.
