I ordered my table with light Maple rails and everything else Jet black.
I then made a revolving cue rack that matches the table.

You have a clean slate if you are painting, do something cool.

Very nice. To me, the decals make a table.
Also not a fan of dark woods like Cherry & Mahogany.

There's your answer. Painting the table and the basement, is twice as much work as just painting the basement.
