Seems to me the weather is becoming worse and worse every year. Should DCC be moved to say May or June?

I like where it is at BUT there is holiday MLKjr day that many people are off and it seems if the derby would use that day maybe more people would stay that sunday night and spend more money. It never uses that free day

There is no conflicts with other huge pool tourneys.
It's cheaper to travel in off peak.
Room's are cheaper in off peak.
It seems to draw a good crowd no matter what the
weather brings.
Just my thoughts

I think that's the reason it's scheduled when it is, because of it being off season there are better rates for the promoters and for the fans.

Why in the world would you want to repair something that is not broken?
I don't think Greg needs our advice on anything.

Ditto. We aren't the stake-holders for this event so this "we" business doesn't sit well with me. I would hate for someone to tell me what to do with my event.

I have been to 5 DCC and the weather has only been a issue twice. The issue was in Chi town with flights cancelled. It is the off season, flights are less money. Hotels rate are usaully less money. I prefer the cold to the heat in the region of the country. January is just fine with me!

Louisville's weather is F'd up about 8 months out of the year with crazy snow storms, Tornado's or whatever. I think it's fine where it is before Christmas would just be too hard on folks with children and expenses, and otherwise you'd pay an arm and a leg for airfair and hotels just to get there.
