as Bob said, the tip was bad so it didn't play well at all. after the new tip was installed and I picked it up today, it plays fine. thanks again Bob DZ (and thank you AND your wife for helping me out of the snow today  :) :D ) we should have let your wife inside the car and we could have gotten her out together!! lmao

Glad to see that the cue is fine now... Enjoy it.........mike

apology to Bob Owen

It seems I owe you an apology sir...I understand it wasn't your fault that the shipping itself was late, and for making a big deal over THEIR issue was wrong...I take full responsibility for being an ass over that. In the future with anything, I'll recommend AND pay more for shipping overnite during the winter months. I know this is too little too late, I understand that, but wanted to publicly apologize for my ignorance in this situation. I know I acted COMPLETELY inappropriately, and again, for that I'M SORRY!!!!!!!!!! I have had time to calm down and get my thinking straight, so it seems now that all is right in my world...so one more time Bob Owen, I offer you my DEEPEST apologies. I know this is nowhere near enough, but its all I can do to TRY to rectify anything I've done. I got the cue this monday like you thought, and after changing the tip to a useable tip I like, it plays just fine. Thanks for being considerate in your replies here...I'm gonna check into anger-management therapy cause since my accident, I have NO sympathy, or regards for anything going wrong anymore. This is only an ATTEMPT to apologize for the foolish way I acted over this...I hope you understand this. Thanks for the nice cue Bob Owen, Jeff

That's the classiest most sincere apology I've ever seen on here. Hat's off to you Duke. Nice way to wrap up an ugly thread.

Jeff, you sound like a pretty nice guy, actually...and it seems you are on the right track now. I sincerely wish you the very best of luck. Hang in there, buddy.

Yea I can say Jeff is a square shooter as I have dealt with him and the transactions were flawless and I will be proud to deal on the Bob Owen cue if you ever get rid of it. I have been wanting to try one also. Leonard

Jeff,
I am impressed that you not only realize your mistake but also made an attempt to make amends. I hope you not only see the err of your ways but take precaution not to repeat these actions in the future. Your apology seems genuine and I respect the fact that you did it. The next time something doesn't go according to your plan I hope you think with your head instead of your mouth/keyboard. Good luck to you.

Great, I'm happy you like the cue. Let's get past all this BS and back to what we all like to do!! Play more pool.:)

enjoy
Bob Owen :)

Dukeboy, your apology to Bob Owen (and to the rest of us hard-asses ;^) was very classy. We all need to learn from such a gesture. Thank you.

Dukeboy

Anger is a natural emotion, which, in it's natural state, should only take a few seconds or a few minutes to externalize. Problems arise when we either express anger inappropriately by blowing up or suppress it so that it accumulates. We end up giving a situation more of our anger than it deserves, or none of it.
We all make mistakes and you have done a fine job rectifying yours. My hats off to you.
