shurts cues

i'm confused, did you ask for the option to pay extra for overnite or two day shipping? or are you saying for one price you should get any kind of shipping you want? there is a large difference in the cost of these shipping options and it is up to the purchaser to decide if he needs the shipment expedited. when i buy something, if i need it sooner i always ask if i can pay extra for faster shipping.

OK Bob...I know you sent it out WHEN you said you would, but that wasn't my issue. my issue was if I was paying for shipping anyways, why didn't you send it overnite or within 2 days guaranteed? again, I understand you sent it out on time, and THANK YOU for that, I'm just confused as to why you sent it the way you did...thats all. I'm done complaining about this and won't post anymore about it, so let this thread die guys!
Duke just a suggestion..business's usually use the cheapest way to ship.it's up to the customer to request faster shipping usually about $50.00 for overnight..the way they pack cues these days i'm sure it will be fine.just a lesson learned for everyone here.that's what's nice about forums people can learn from others misfortunes..your cue will probably be there monday...enjoy it...

That is my standard shipping. Happy to send them any way the customer wants. If they ask.

thanks, hope you enjoy the cue.

Bob,
I have heard many people say great things about your cues. The way that you have handled this situation has made me a future customer. I probably won't be in a position to get one of your cues until a few months down the road but I plan on seeing your selection in Louisville next year. I wish you well in the future and I hope you have continued success. You are a welcome addition to this forum and I hope you stop by often.

Best of luck,
Daniel

You have nothing to complain about... Even you say that he sent it when he said he would. If you wanted some type priority mailing then you should have asked him and paid him for it...Jeesh.

He very well could have sent it priority, but weather still could have depayed the package. Your cue is not as important as the safety of others who have to drive/fly in this weather, just FYI.

Also, stop complaining about it being late, what did you want him to do, drive to PA and pick it up and put it on your doortep to make sure it was on-time, because you paid for it? Sh1t happens, deal with it. Besides, it looks like you paid for standard shipping. If you want priority or 2 days then pony up. Even if you do pay for the priority shipping, something can alaways happen to delay the package. It's not being shipped by god

I ordered something from Platinum Billiards a while ago (slipstic) and I ended up getting a package with a little wet-nap looking thing in it. I figured it was a separate package. I waited two weeks (as that's standard wait time to make sure something was shipped incorrectly or not shipped at all) and called them. They shipped my slipstic NEXT DAY delivery.

Calling the sender is usually the best way to get anything resolved... not posting on a public forum to get your ass handed to you by the general populace. Unless that was your intention :D

Well buddy, for once, you done something right. You deleted your post! I bought a cue from Edwin Reyes here on Az. He ran a special for his fellow forum members. Took 2 years to get the cue instead of 6 months. I didn't complain or whine. I just stayed in touch with him and told him I would never rush an artist. I paid $1,400 for a cue that I have been told by several top cuemakers it was worth well over $3,000. Actually, most said $3,500. He also threw in a matching Jump/Break/Extension for another $600. Patience is the key.

amen to patience. and if you need to get something by a certain time, you need to speak up and pay.

JEFF,

Did you get your package??

We are still waiting for your answer. Would like to know the results.

This is like a story in the news paper. There are big headlines about something. The story turns out to be totally false. The paper then prints a small true article buried in middle section.

What's the over and under for that cue to be for sale here soon?
I saw 3 weeks.

Odds are good that he will make up an excuse that there is something not quite right with the cue and he wants to return it. Just waiting to hear what the story will be

looks like it was one business day late because of something the maker had no control over.

Wouldn't it be great if all cue makers could meet this performance standard??

Just catching up here & saw this thread.

Shaft was left with me last night to have a Talisman Med installed. Original tip (looked to be a Triangle) was pretty spongy. Cue itself is very nice. Different technique for accentuating grain. Pretty clever!

Nothing about this thread was mentioned.

as Bob said, the tip was bad so it didn't play well at all. after the new tip was installed and I picked it up today, it plays fine. thanks again Bob DZ (and thank you AND your wife for helping me out of the snow today  :) :D ) we should have let your wife inside the car and we could have gotten her out together!! lmao
